Yeah, he's certainly a top prospect who will end up at a bigger/better club than Everton in the future.

I've seen a few young players at Everton who have gone on to be world class players and I can see Rodwell being world class at some point in the future.

I'm just not sure what position it will be yet.

He began as a centre-half but Moyes has moved him away from that role. A few seasons ago I thought he would be a world class ball playing centre-half like Rio Ferdinand and last season I thought he would become an excellent defensive midfielder, but it seems he is being groomed as a Gerrard style box to box midfielder.

I'm sure there's strong interest from United.

Whether their interest is strong enough for them to put a bid in now i'm not so sure.

There's been some rumours about a £10 million plus Carrick offer being made, but Carrick wouldn't get into the Everton first team IMO and we couldn't afford his wages.
