I guess we got a good glimpse at life post Glass today, and to be honest Brown and eMac did very well. Brown is looking more and more comfortable as he strings some games together.
I think i recall reading that Brown realised he had work to do and Woosh said that if he was good enough, he'd be in the team regularly - I think he's improving each game and he's still playing. Hopefully he decides to stick around.

If E-Mac can swing forward and kick goals, do we now have a plan B?

I'd still unleash a booming 'HUNTAAAAAAAAA!' every time Ermac is forward, takes a grab and kicks a goal, though. But would likely follow it up with the thought: 'awww sheeeet, it's ****in' Ermac. You're acting like a damn fool.'

He'll be full of confidence now. Watch out Buddy! Haha

It makes up for his kick in against Sydney in 09

I love how we are filing our holes. Glass is looking good so he will have another year or two. He'll he may do a fletcher and go another six. But we have emac to replace him and all of a sudden we have Wilson coming up.

Hopefully our midfield woes are as fixable :(

I like to think hutchings will step up as Kerr retires, and since most of our midfield is younger then 23, hopefully they will develop a little more. Perhaps wont be elite midfielders but enough to get at least an average clearance rate. When you got the best ruckman in the league tapping to you, you don't have to be elite to get the clearance

Hutchings needs to be given regular games and plenty of time in the midfield to get used to the pace of AFL and develop a good working chemistry with the rest of the mids if this is to happen (and to see what he has to offer). Unfortunately, at the moment he plays a good solid game and then gets dropped so that A Selwood can come back in and get 5 possessions a game....and to get run past by 3 opponents while chasing the footy..

Having his best season yet and has grown on me a lot over the years. Was still cringing in my seat when he ran into the open goal thinking he might shank it but he did the job and celebrated rightfully

Would be in the top handful for B & F at the moment

You've taken to the bigfooty mentality very quickly ;)

Haha i'm not sure if thats a compliment or not QS, but i do think he needs to be given an opportunity before we decide if he has what it takes to make it, especially after all the time Masten took to become a decent player. (Queue flaming from all the Masten lovers on BF ;))

Well I was referring to the latter half of your post, but both views will accord with those of the populace. FLETCH41 is the resident A Selwood fan though ;-)

haha yes i noticed Fletch41 had taken a liking to ASelwood, although i'm not sure it was for his footy ability from what i read. ;)
In regards to the other part of my previous post, i have been baffled for a long time by some of the selections the MC makes when choosing certain players over others. I thought Strijk deserved more of an opportunity (as well as various others) in previous years but I'm sure many people will disagree. His recent performance in the state game only served to remind me of the fact that he can play some good footy and that maybe we should of played him a little more over certain older players who have IMO been great servants of the club but should now move on.

Would prefer to keep Brown though. Not sure using Schofield or Wilson as a permanent man on man defender is an ideal use of their talents.

Wilson can, he just shouldn't play against KPF's.
