about that list, about those links. I wouldn't trust you if said good morning, it'd be time to look out the window and see for yourself.

Ball was a good kick, and you just throwing out casual lies doesn't change it.

and in 2005 I just checked he kicked 63.5% of the time. real similar player to a guy, who can rack up a 2 kick 28 handball game.

Look it up yourself, mate. I'm not here to appease you.

Diesel also likened Watson to Kouta in terms of strength and how hard it is to move him off the ball in a contest. He also said "He is definitely A-grade".

Get back to me with how many we're going to win and against who? You're making the big statements.

I'm also waiting to hear how many games Richmond are going to win and against who?

Will you beat a Victorian side in 2011?

A big claim? I have given my opinion and it stands! Stop having a cry.

When your opposition has only got one decent midfielder, theres no point tagging him. You may as well tag some of the poorer mids and leave the gun one-out to do it alone. He cant do everything!

Thats what opposition teams tend to do with Watson, and its a successful tactic especially as he doesnt have a lot of depth with his kicking. His disposals just arent damaging compared to some of his lesser talented teammates. Its easier and more successful to tag them.

I've already named 3 teams that never tag him.

Not many sides have desginated taggers/shutdown types. The only 2 of a decent cailbre are Clint Jones/Picken in their particular role.

At Collingwood, Malthouse rarely uses a tagger as such. Delusional Essendon supporters think that b/c Wellingham goes to Watson, he is tagging him. Wellingham was always a run with/expose them on the counter type. In the only meaningful time this year, Wellingham ran off Watson & exposed him for the average player he is.

This is not an example of tagging Essendon fans. Tagging is basing your entire game on shutting down 1 specific player, not running off & using your own creative gamestyle to expose that specific player.

apparently you do, as this thread demonstrates. you care very much.

Are u sure about that, out of every game we have ever played the Cows the only 1 I really cared about was in 93, that 1 was more important then the next 10 or 15!
do I care what you have to say no, I am just bored and you give me something to do. thanx

please keep going.

Well Malthouse got it wrong how many time with Hird, talk about your own dribble.

Its hard to tag inside players - much more effective to tag your outside users.

Absolutely correct - But no point others muddying the water by saying that Watsom was tagged the most often in 2010.

Stanton most often tagged in 2010
Lovett most often tagged in 2009.

agreed, and if you stop the runner then the extraction doesn't matter so much.

but that doesn't explain Jimi's fondness for telling porkies.

Cro Mo

You are on the verge of trolling.

I stated twice earlier in this thread that watson hasn't attracted the no 1 tag in 2009 or 2010.

This is part of the discussion should stop - Of course there are another one million variables to discuss.

By my reckoning Collingwood was the only team in 2010 who didn't employ a defined tagger.

Be interested to see if this continues in 2011.

Stanton spent half the year in defence so I highly doubt he was the most tagged player.

What porkies are you talking about? There were even threads about it on Bigfooty, which have links to the article you are so desperate to see. Maybe you have already looked it up but instead of acknowledging that a great such as Diesel rates Watson so highly, you opt to play dumb and accuse people of lying.

Diesel compared Watson's playing style to both Black and Kouta. Not bad for a hack is it? I think I respect Deisel's opinion more than yours just quietly.

Crow-Ming,
I am personally sorry for whoever at the essendon fc slept with your mrs, mum or sister. It's a really harsh world out there and some o the time people get used.
I personally think that for the good of this thread we should bury the hatchet now and hopefully you will accept this apology.
Yours sincerely,
Hank31.

Essendon fans say it is not that bad because they look at youth and potential like
Hurley, Ryder, Pears, Gumbleton, Carlisle, Hooker which is our young spine, and without bias you would have to agree it has a huge upside
Essendon fans consistently talk up average young kids...3-4 years ago it was

Neagle, K.Bradley, Laycock, C.Johns and D.Daniher who were a young promising spine....with HUGE upside.

Zaharakis, Colyer, Melksham, Howlett, Heppell, Hocking our young mids who will help out Watson Stanton and Winderlich, so we are very happy with this as a whole. We dont care if people disagree.
It was going to be Dyson, Houli, Dempsey and Myers a few years ago that would form a great midfield nucleus with speed and class.

By the way, Stanton and Winderlich being 2 of your top 3 midfielder's highlights how far behind the good teams Essendon really is.....

I dont know what the feel is around all your clubs, but trust me, I have never seen this much excitment about the future.
Wow you blokes have Hird, and Mr. no planB/tired and wanting a rest/prefer to focus on his business interests Mark Thompson.

When the stark reality hits in rd 8 that you blokes are ordinary, I'm sure it will be comforting to know it is an Essendon bloke who is at the helm this time.

SJ

Stanton spent 5 0r 6 games in defence at the backend of the season, because his form dropped off - This could have been a combination of failing to handle a tag and having a niggle.

I am certain that after 2 excellent games off HB - He was tagged in at least one or two games when in defence.

I've already said I think you're a liar who can't be trusted, why would i
need to try a disprove that on your behalf?

you just got caught again, as blokes like you are want to do. :D

bullshit, that's a cheap cop out.

your friend here has a tendency for telling porky pies, calling him out is not trolling. and to suggest it is discredits you.
