Funny seeing opposition supporters salty that we aren't doing a 'proper' rebuild and won't spend the next 4 years down the bottom of the ladder. Maybe the 2020 draft/trade period was all we needed to reset the list. Port turned their fortunes around with one or two good draft periods and now they're premiership contenders.

Making finals with the 2nd least experienced and 4th youngest list in the league is a good effort.

Amazing turnaround to get to finals, and no matter what happens today or next week this season is a big success for the mighty Bombers. However whilst happy with the year the job is no where near done.

The real challenge starts next year. Team needs to keep improving. Anything less than a top 6 finish and at least one finals win next year should be seen as a failure. No point sneaking into 8th, being happy with that then only to tumble down the ladder like we have done many times.

What is comfortably the most amusing part, is that all of these arsehats that had Essendon pegged for bottom 4 or worse will now HANG on the whole 'days without a final win' schtick, and if (as would probably be likely) Essendon lose to the Dogs, waltz around trying to act like this is somehow a win for them.

When in reality, they're sobbing internally at just how ****ing good the list build at Tulla looks.
