He's just not as damaging as some of the other midfielders. He did have a great season though. There's a reason teams tag Hanley and occasionally Zorko over him.

He's untaggable imo, teams tag Hanley over Rockliff for the same reason they tagged Stanton over Watson, much easier to deny them the pill because they're receivers and not getters, and rockliff is an absolutely elite getter

Still no Priddas heh :D

People might not want junk time kings and one season wonders.
These are the average goals per game of the trio for the past three years
Jack Riewoldt: 2.74
Jay Schulz: 2.45
Travis Cloke: 2.47
Based on recent form I'd take Riewoldt and Schulz because this is the 2014 draft game, not the 2011-2013 one.
Rance before Hooker has me the most confused.
It wouldn't if you plan to play Rance at CHB.

Cloke is better than both, period. Yes he wasn't as good this year but put him in Port and he wins the Coleman.

*Had the better career of the three so far. Riewoldt and Schulz are both better than him currently, which is why I thought choosing Cloke before them was interesting. Not hating on the selection since Cloke is a very good forward, however I was more interested in knowing the reasoning behind it.

So a change of clubs instantly makes you better? Ask Colin Sylvia about that.

Cloke had Swan, Adams, Lumumba, Sinclair, Blair, Josh Thomas and Macaffer butchering the ball inside 50 all year. Compare that to Deledio, Martin, Ellis, Cotchin and Houli or Hartlett, Polec, Boak, Ebert, Pittard, Monfries, Gray, Wingard, Broadbent kicking the ball to you... Vast difference.

Comparing apples to oranges. One key forward who's known to be a superstar compared to a bloke who's always been a spud. But a key forward does need someone who can kick the ball without butchering it to him to be more effective.

Interesting how you left out Beams, Young, Pendlebury, Sidebottom and Seedsman who ranked 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th respectively at average i50's for the Pies and are all more than capable kicks.

Interesting that half their side are crap kicks. Young's kicking was terrible last year, Sidebottom's kicking isn't great either and Seedsman played most of the year in the VFL. So that leaves Pendlebury and Beams.

Young had on and off patches, Goddards kicking wasn't great at times this year but you wouldn't lable him as a terrible kick. You're seriously under rating Sidebottom, and although Seedsman, Broomhead and Williams didn't play too many games their delivery into the forward 50 was very good.

Young's off patches were for most of the season. I never said Young was a terrible kick, I said his kicking was terrible this year. There's a difference. Sidebottom's kicking is good, not great and they played less than half the games between them. Collingwood are very arguably the worst kicking side in the AFL. Port's is one of the best. Key forwards rely a lot on delivery.

Tell me the Collingwood games you watched where Young's kicking was 'off'. Collingwood have enough kicking quality to make sure Cloke is well fed (3rd most targeted forward) and averages 3 marks inside 50 per game(4/5th in the comp from memory), so I think the problem lies in Clokes kicking more than anything else.

Fremantle, Geelong, Richmond, North Melbourne, Adelaide x2, West Coast x2, Gold Coast, Bulldogs, Hawthorn, Essendon (2nd game), Brisbane off the top of my head.

He had 69 shots on goal last season. Franklin had 130, Schulz 92, J Riewoldt 99, Hawkins 108, Roughead 118. That's a marked difference.

I have to intervene - Collingwood's biggest issue is their deficient kicking skills - Their defence has questionable foot skills read O'Brien/Toovey/N.Brown/Sinclair. The kicking skills of their midfield is a mixed bag - Pendlebury/Beams/Sidebottom are reliable kicks and Broomhead is likely, but the remainder includes McAffer/Kennedy/Swan/Adams are unreliable kicks.

Another myth in the AFL - Young can kick it long, but is unreliable.
