The final list lodgement is between the ND and PSD and also considering our first rookie pick is something like pick 12 any player that is overlooked that we would like a closer look at can be invited to train beforehand.

Two separate issues
1) EFC rarely invites players to do a pre-season with the club
2) Change to the rookie rules means that the last rookie is nominated a week before the season starts. This means that you may have 3 or 4 players doing a preseason and playing in practice matches.
I think you are being more hopeful than realistic. Essendon has clearly stated we are not going beyond 47, why debate it, that's what is happening. Picks 8, 30, 47 & PSD4.I will be expecting some more names to be delisted come the second list lodgement is due..
Would not surprise me to see us turn over Atkinson and Lonergan (although Lonergan may stay, midfielders are our weak link and would allow the feeling I am getting about us taking Gorringe with pick 8).
Would be good to see us have a few more selections in the draft as it runs quite deep.
Could John Anthony be the nugget in the PSD.
Have some interest - But he is a defender.
He isnt a defenders arseh*le. He is a forward and probably alot better than a couple of guys we plan to play forward this year. Cant stand him though and seems most of his team mates cant either.

Unless somehow Houli does a backflip, Atko and Lonergan stay. I personally see them being retained as recognition we need more mids. I believe the strategy is to keep what we've got for now and add to them. Then by this time next year, hopefully we've picked 2 mids that look the goods, perhaps even your boy Silverlock has played a few games and shown a bit, then we can move on the likes of Dyson, Lonergan, Atkinson, etc with an eye to picking another couple of mids without sacrificing depth in the midfield.
youtube "jersey shore punch" for a longer cut of the incident.slightly o/t but where's that grab from? What a ***** act.
He is a defender - Only played forward when Collingwood was short in this area.
Could release Hurley to play forward.
Ah, no, it's a mechanism to bypass restraint of trade. The only reason the AFL have been able to justify not having free agency

Hurley is a defender, he only played forward when Essendon was short in this area.
Seriously though, Matthew Lloyd is adamant Hurley's best spot is CHB, he says Hurley just doesn't have the natural goal sense of a champion forward.

Now I am not saying he cannot play forward at all, but at times when he was forward, he looked lost and ledto the wrong spots, often into the same space as the CHF or resting ruckmen.
Why should we play Hurley forward any ways?
Joey Daniher is on his way![]()

Further to Lance's argument.
Look at current list of tall forwards
Neagle - Doubt he will make it.
Carlisle - Will be a very good player/maybe dominant - but another two years away
Gumbleton - Still developing and plays away from goal
Hope that D.Daniher can get fit - Appeals as a lead up forward who can run both ways. He may add balance to the forward line.
Not a lot ready to kick goals.
