Teams have ups and downs. We havent figured it out yet. we are still a work in progress. Most of us even after melbourne win expected a what? 6 to 8 win season? We played last years grand finalist and got shown what actual work is required...need a bigger sample size before we throw the team away. Are first 3 weeks were impressive and expectations went up... hell sydney get thrashed im grand finals doesnt make them a bad side. Look at the below... hawks only clicked agter their first few weeks last year.. chins up everyone.

Stop with the Hawks comparisons! FFS we do not have the skill , workrate and fitness in this group that is anywhere near the Hawks across the board. We have too many dumb footballers with shit skills.

Hawks have a very tough environment (mouth guards in at training) and have high standards at their club. We don’t. Have a look at Sam Mitchell messaging, he wasn’t accepting that bullshit.

It’s not a comparison at all. Just makes us feel better that’s all but it’s not reality. Who cares what other teams have done, it has nothing to do with us.

The problem with this is that they had a settled backline with 3-4 great rebounding options, a complementary midfield and a dynamic forward line. Even in their bad start losses, their players were still working.

They have further added players of need through draft and trade between then and now to bolster their deficiencies and maximise their strengths.

We have brought in some experience, but we still have an awkward list where we rely on a single focal point who doesn’t work hard enough or who hasn’t got the strength to stand up in a contest, a backline bereft of rebounding options and a midfield that is allergic to defensive running. We have brought in Konstanty (tick) but have invested two-fifths of f*ck-all into crumbing targets.

They had a core of senior players who had been there forever couple with a settled football department and have had a total of two coaches in 20+ years.

We razed our club to the ground 3 times in 5 years.

Yes I'm aware talent difference but it remains the same point. 1 game a season does not make... holding some hope we have in fact improved, and this is an aberration- hopefully we drank our bathwater and will learn from it...

We are still a confidence team. We start well we usually do ok . Start 2 or 3 goals down at quarter time we struggle to regain the lead and play catch up the rest of the match.

There'll be better results this year. There'll be a few wins this year. But the problems that have been plaguing us for years now were on full display last night. That is what is leading people to question WTF is going on at the club.

I'll believe that we can respond to losses like this when I see it.

We know you mean well. But when all the factors that comprise an ultimate result are remaining at the same godawful level of recent years, well, a bit of grief creeps in.

It's a nice gesture, but unfortunately we've all been force-fed the red pill by the club. And its effects of enlightenment are jarring
