Nice that energy weapons and guns seem to be rolled into one besides their mods/crafting. Looking to play my favoured VATS+run and gun energy weapons+science build and but being able to grab lockpicking, attack dog and mysterious stranger early.

Really didn't want to jump on this thread to see people enjoying themselves but just couldn't help myself.

Its like that, I wasted a good chunk of my play time in the early hours scavenging the shit out of the town my original house is located at. Now I have thought about it for awhile, I am going to tag the items i want, and continue with the game till im level 20 then concentrate on building for a fair bit, that way i should have plenty of mats.

Gonna leave work early so I can try and get a decent session in tonight, was tempted to try it this morning but it wouldn't have ended well. At least I got it decrypted and ready to play already.

I haven't really looked into stats, but I usually sacrifice endurance and agility for intelligence (usually helps leveling up) and luck.

Also for the PC guys out there, it sounds like they might have locked the frame rate, there's a guide to unlocking it (and other settings) here There's no point being held back to "next-gen" performance levels when you can go well past it

Just put down the controller. Didn't realise I played for 4 hours. Still only level 2. Got a bit immersed in just exploring and modding my baseball bat. Hopefully my erection will die down soon, so I can hit up KFC. The raiders heads just pop right off.

What set up did you go?
What are your plans with your set up for your character?

i went for a utility build
S: 3 (unlocks armour mods)
P: 5 (unlocks locksmith & more explosives damage, grenades are now plentiful and are button mapped separately from guns)
E: 3 (unlocks life giver more hit points)
C: 4 (work towards that intimidation perk early)
I: 5 (gun mods, hacking, scrapping and high tec mods all unlocked, plus you gain more exp from every point in intelligence)
A: 3 (stat dump for the moment)
L: 4 (mysterious stranger unlocks)

however current stats at level 4

the idea is that i will level up faster due to extra XP and will be able to hack terminals and crack safes sooner.
additionally i'll unlock mods sooner as well, and be compensated with extra vats (i play with a controller so vats is my go to, espically after near dying to ****ing mozzie.

I'm liking this one. I think I may follow about 80% the same.

Does the game not incorporate the difficulty slider like the previous two games?

Thinking of going this, up the endurance so dont have to worry about radiation, and luck to offset the fact im bog average at this game.
