You forget the game was selling for $59 for a long time. Also each individual DLC was around $15-20 dollars, as a season pass the first price was a bargain and a special price, the hike was fine, if anyone bought it at the hike then too bad, plenty of warning came out about it.

FWIW I paid the lower, but it was pretty obvious they saw the popularity and jacked it up.
