I'm holding out hope that single player and multiplayer are separate modes, with the former "BattleCry Studios" guys that Bethesda acquired working on the multiplayer content since their BattleCry game was scrapped. Or if they're combined, at least make it an optional co-op thing with friends so you can build/run townships as a group.

The fact it's only 25 years after the bombs is an interesting move though, as someone mentioned on Reddit it'll be an environment without all the established groups and townships. Ghouls are a new thing, supermutants and deathclaws are basically myths, raider groups would be in their infancy if they even exist at all, radiation is everywhere, small towns are rubble.......

EDIT: hopefully that "leak" is fairly accurate.

Almost seems like too much work to have put in for a short release frame doesn't it? Hopefully the supposed leak was right and they will come out and give more clarification soon. Should be a good E3 if all goes to plan. ES, Fallout, Red Dead, hopefully Last Of Us to all get a mention

Bethesda aren't CD Projekt Red they don't **** around they announce and we get a game a few months later. They won't be releasing 2 fullscale games at the same time essentially cannibalising their player base since the same people play both FO and ES.

Skyrim is like 8 years old and most people expected ES6 before a new FO game, but going by their history I doubt we hear anything about ES6 until at least e3 next year.

Wouldn't surprise me if they had people working on it and have for a while but I doubt they announce anything, unless the FO press turns bad over the multiplayer and they have to do a damage control teaser for ES

When it comes to game speculation I'm pretty good at not letting hope and excitement take over my feelings.

But Fallout is different. I lose all rational thinking when Fallout rumours and leaks pop up. God I hope that 4chan leak is true.

A close up look at the world pre war. There'd be survivors from before the bombs, if done properly there could be tonnes of awesome lore

Not really, the game engine is already there, they bought a studio that specialized in multiplayer that's working on the game too, and it's been 3 years since the last game. Sounds like the multiplayer element might just be co-op though, which I'm perfectly fine with.

Sounded plausible up until the mention of ES6. Bethesda are on record saying it's years away, probably next gen. Also plenty of leaks that they're working on a new IP called Starfield ATM.

My brother called me at 2am this morning fanboying and telling me about it (he's 26). Woke me and the 9 month old kid up, who stayed up all morning until i left for work at 5, and i didn't even care. It was worth the answer haha i know those feelings mate

After Fallout 4 it doesn't give as much hope. People can cop the usual bugs for a rich RPG experience.

I enjoyed F4 too, its just the RPG aspects are watered down from previous versions like F3 and New Vegas. Gameplay has always been fun but personally enjoy the NPC interactions and decisions having effect on the world more in the earlier versions.
