Judd is still recovering from injury. It has nothing to do with his heart. Ask any of the young guys at Carlton about what Judd brings to the club!

BTW, where have you been for the past 3 years? Your last post (well at least under this username) was March 2005. Then you have the gall to come in here and bag the club! Not a good way to make friends in here.

Still a couple of real hightlights for me was the efforts of a couple of the young kids. Thought Pfieffs and Grigga got better and better as the game progressed and were both excellent when the game was up for grabs.

Was a great win today...everyone had an input in...EVERYONE, can't remember the last time this would be the case.

With Judd, Murphy and Fev very quiet today....and with the inclusions of Thornton, Walker, Bannister, Houlihan the future is looking very bright.

Guys like Grigg, Bower, Pfeiffer, Browne even Wiggins are all chipping in much more than opposition teams would expect. If it was not for some very accurate kicking and Sandilands dominating we would have won by over 5 goals easily... now I'm off to get drunk, GO BLUES

But look at it this way - we won without Fev having a great day.

Did you boo the team off after the match?

I think it was really good that we were able to take hold of the match after we looked almost gone, Freo's kicking in the first three quarters was ridiculously accurate and the only reason they were in the match whilst we wasted many opportunities. The fact we were creating so many of these opportunites though was a great positive.

Jarad Waite played awesome, BOG for mine and gave us huge amount of drive from defence.

Bryce Gibbs is going to be a star, 10 great tackles today and when he tackles someone they stay tackled, beautiful technique. The handpass to Stevens in the last quarter was houdini like.

Fevola was off target with his kicking all day but he kept chasing and kept up the intencity which is what makes him so different to how he was last year, he is playing like a team player.

Paul Bower is an absolute gun and is going to be one of our most important players in the future.

Kreuzer did some really good things, I love how competitive he is especially when the ball hits the ground after a ball up and he is the first player to dive on it. Also that play on the wing in the first quarter where he punched the ball 30 metres to an open Marc Murphy was just special.

Bentick is a player that is really growing on me because of his willingness to get to the bottom of the pack. I've bagged him in the past however he more than deserves his spot in the team at the moment.

Also to the person that criticises Chris Judd, you are a douche. It is insane how good he is in contested situations and everything he touches turns to gold.

Very pleased to get the win, but I did have my doubts if we'd get there. I thought we let them back into the game late in the second, we just stopped and had virtually lost the lead by half time. Too many points (13), pity we weren't more accurate. Happy though with the multiple goal scorers and not such a heavy reliance on Fevola (Fisher 2, Betts 2, Scotland 2, Fevola, Simpson, Wiggins, Edwards, Browne, Carrazzo, Stevens, Pfeiffer).

There were times in the third and forth where both sides were playing safe, cautious, keeping possession football. I was thinking they need a cracker up their butt to get moving and we weren't gonna win playing like that!

Luckily we became more attacking and taking risks and they paid off. Well done boys!

It was a frustrating game to be at (disappointing crowd but not bad considering it was freo).

I thought we'd have another game where we shoulda won but didn't due to their accurate goal kicking (why do teams always kick so accurate against us!!).

The two glaring things I noticed about last weeks and this weeks game was our lack of playing down the guts and always looking for Fev.

We put the ball on one wing... then switch to the other (just too obvious). And Fev sure he was having a shocker but they should use that to advantage... get him to lead some defenders out of the square than we should kick it to an open square or to another option (bar Eddie who we kicked to a few times when he was 3-1).

But we won... Fev's goal is a contender for goal of the year!
