Was when I was thinking about putting Walker in.

I did. Just because we have different methods doesn't mean I don't appreciate the advice.

For the record, I currently have 4 more points than you this season - I think it's fair to say both systems are working adequately thus far.

And I've spent 16 points in transfer fees. My players themselves have been fine.

Haha fair point, I guess I mean my selection strategy has been fine, it's not as if the players themselves aren't doing what I want.

Out of interest, how often do all your strikers score each week?

Once were all 3 have scored. Several times where they've all had at least an assist or scored. Which does outdo the record for my midfield.

Most of my big individual score have come from up top this season as well. Lukaku hatty etc. Having said that, have had good weeks from Sanchez and Sterling a couple of times.

Sanchez got double figures three weeks in a row lol.

Each to their own, but rigidly refusing to move away from three starting strikers is a bit odd. You should always adapt to who's in form.

Yeah but I have those midfielders in my team. I'm talking about leaving my worst midfielder out, not my best haha. It's not like I'm completely ignoring midfielders.

And I have Lukaku and Aguero lol. How often has Rondon out-scored Capoue? That's my 5th mid who I'm including instead of a third striker.

Capoue 5th mid is so often a curse! Well not really since he scores well. But makes who to bench bloody hard. Normally it's one of my mid range mids or a striker with a tough away game

Which is why I've been starting him and benching Stuani. Pretty sure Capoue has out-scored Stuani even though strikers are meant to score more.

Not that much difference but I've picked up an extra 5 points so far. Difference between being ahead and behind SM

Yeah the worst mid generally is a 0-2 compared to a striker who'll only ever be 1-2 because of goals against counting for the mid. I've managed to keep 3 good strikers (I found Deeney as good) and still hold Capoue as mid 5.

All while managing Stones, Walker and Williams at the back. It has been tough and have gone against my normal theory of starting my most expensive players every week. But benching a Walker to start a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 every week has to happen

Keep in mind you have 5 mids to 3 forwards so that is going to warp things.

Yes, because of the penalties. The players themselves have outscored yours by 11 points.

It does warp things because the sample size is different. Backs up your point how? I just went through my team and my mids outscored my forwards by 9 points..?

I don't even know what you're trying to argue because I've never said dump all forwards out of your team or that as a general point mids > forwards. I'm saying as the game stands at the moment, there are only maybe 3 forwards who will reliably score or get you points each week. Costa. Lukaku. Aguero. If you can't afford all three, then you're going for a 'cheap' third striker like Stuani, Wilson, Hernandez, etc. who you hope can grab you some goals for a cheap price. I recommended Hernandez to start with.

Mids get a point for a CS and lose nothing if their side concedes 10 goals. They also get an extra point per goal.

That's literally the only way they can end up on one point unless they come off the bench or are subbed off early.

Strikers end up on 1/0 points as well. If you'd held Aguero over his suspension for instance.

Costa has had a few yellows too.
