Multiplat Far Cry 3

Following are some animals seen in the trailers,-Snip-
Apparently some of these will have a stealth mechanic so they can hunt you.....Not sounding like you could avoid if unseen. Sharks damn it. I just know I will get eaten.

Sharks will be my greatest issue.. I bet you will have to swim to numerous islands and fight sharks off.. can imagine being killed multiple times.

Damn. I'm glad it's only Bull Sharks and not Great Whites. They seem very beatable. Hopefully you can heal under water with an adrenalin shot or something.

Wonder if they come in different sizes. Man this game is going to be epic.

15 minutes of open world gameplay. Looks great.

Detection Arrows so you know if you're being seen.
Binoculars/Camera that not only tag enemies but show exactly what type of enemy they are.
A lush, vibrant and massive world.
Instant fast travel, no driving to a bus stop anymore!
Far more cinematic feel and presentation.
A constant mini-map.
Heaps of weapons, upgrades and mods.
Assassin's Creed influenced Towers that act as world opening up points.
Red Dead influences like picking herbs/flowers and skinning animals.

This game really is improving in all the areas it absolutely needed to, but also taking stuff from other games to make not only the variety in the gameplay better, but to make the world better as well.

So disappointed that it's the last big game of the year to arrive, this is my most anticipated game of the year by a mile right now and I need it in my hands now!

**** me that looks impressive. Far Cry 2 was one of those games I wished I played but glossed over in 2008. I won't make the same mistake here.

FarCry 2 was not that good, i never finished it only because it became one of the most boring games.

FC3 however looks 10x better.

Farcry 2 had potential and some nice ideas, i really enjoyed some parts but never finished it.
You do have to be a bit suspicious of a game that uses "realistic fire" as it's big selling point.
Farcry3 looks great however....

Far Cry 2 was awesome. Seems like the team has played Boiling Point/White Gold/ what ever its bloody called on the PC, looks like they have taken a few ideas from that.

Agreed. And that's why I was always looking forward to Far Cry 3 (although Hitman>Far Cry ). Because Far Cry 2 was a good game, with a lot of very easily defined faults. So any decent dev coming through on the sequel could've easily spotted it and fixed them up. Which it looks like they've done.

All I really hope now is that the gunplay is decent and not overly reliant on aim assist like it was in Far Cry 2.
