I have a serious dislike for FPS and I enjoy this (would be better in third person though)
I think general movement in FPS is dodgy, like if you're against some rocks that look a climbable height, you need to pull away to see why your damn guy isn't making it up the ledge/rock..

I enjoyed the tomb raiding missions for Aussie (gay, knife wielding psycho) Buck. Wasn't really expecting that type of gameplay.

Are there any guns that I'm neglecting by just sticking with the norm of my AK & Sniper rifle with the odd grenade for heavies?
I've used the RPG & Bow once or twice.

The bow is my favorite weapon by far.

There is a gun you can loot from one of the enemies who have armor and it's basically the sweetest machine gun type ever. I kept it throughout the whole game and makes things alot easier.

+1 for the bow. Definitely my favourite weapon. I don't even use guns that much, mostly just the bow and takedowns.

I forget what they're called but the "special" weapons you get from doing certain missions and such ??
The upgraded MKG which is a LMG, just hammer's through Heavy's.
Also, the gun I used the most was the MS something or rather, it is the semi-automatic Assualt rifle. Put a silencer and a scope and you have yourself a beast of a gun.

LOVED the shredder. Probably not the best weapon all round for a mostly longer range game. But damn that weapon rocked. Super fast fire rate.

I basically rotated through that and a silenced sniper. Otherwise I was just doing takedowns constantly. I wish there were more situations for the ledge takedowns though.

I used the shredder, silenced sniper, bow and shotgun usually. Snipe long range and then sneak in to silently take down the rest.

What did everyone think about the syringes in the game? Stocked up on green leaves whenever I could. Barely ever used any of the hunting ones, very occasionally used the combat ones, and for the more difficult missions always kept a few specials, Touch of Death can be very useful. Overall I'm not sure if there was that much need for them.

Finally finished the story mode tonight, family staying for a week has pretty much had this untouched from Saturday to Saturday.

This is without a doubt my game of the year (I'll go into more in that thread). This was the 'freshest' experience I've had playing a game since the PS2's hey day. Absolutely adored almost every part of it. Now I'll be off to complete the rest of the challenges and so forth.

I saved my friends because I never trusted Citra's motives, I sensed a betrayal coming and after Youtubing the other ending I was right. Plus it was one of the few moments I didn't want to pull the trigger. His girlfriend represents the last bastion of his humanity, saying no to Citra was a huge moment for him amongst all the haze.

Damn unrelaible save system in this. I've had little spare time so I have only done a mission or 2 some nights , watched it auto save, I even go to the gun cupboard, re stock ammo and back out so it saves again and constantly when I reload the game it's before a mission that I've already done. Not fun when this happens after a big mission.

Had almost finished the missions and taken most of the outposts and go to load and it tells me that my save file is corrupt.
