Amazing.

It can do something like that cause it's 10 episodes but it still threw me for a loop. Definitely a default reaction to think that that Malvo was coming for Gus when the camera panned left from the car.

No idea where the next two episodes are headed though blood of course will be spilt. Whose blood is the scary question so I'm seriously excited/dreading what's to come.

It really did feel like the calm before the storm.

Watched the first 7 eps in the last few days with the wife. As a HUGE fan of the Coen's and the film I was always going to give it a try.

Loving it!!! BBT is perfect and Martin Freeman great. Allison Tolman is the steal of the show though.

Having not seen the eps until today I chose not to read this thread until today. However since I haven't seen ep 8 yet spoiler tags must be used until I give the all clear that I've seen it. :thumbsu: cheers thanks for your understanding.
another great episode, just when you think life has moved on lester and BBT are about to cross paths again.

i thought lester would take one look at BBT in the bar and GTFO of there though. perhaps if i was lester, that's what i would have done, mind you if i was lester i probably wouldn't have killed my wife, framed my brother and then got married to that asian bird, he seemed to jump in to that pretty quickly, perhaps he got a bit more than he bargained for there.

and at one stage i thought he was going to jump his sister in law too, now if i was lester and SHE was my sister in law. . . well
Dude spoiler tags. I'm only halfway through episode. Some might question why I'm checking thread before watching ep but not ALL

Pro tip: If you haven't watched the episode, don't read the thread.
Pro tip: I was joking about a previous poster who was complaining about spoilers and non use of tags. Maybe I need to use more emoticons???

It really did feel like the calm before the storm.
A bit too calm, I suppose the arc of Lester's & BBT's story is coming together but as far as I could make out the only purpose of the Molly and Gus arc is to enable an acknowledgement to the original movie. Maybe this case will get cracked while Molly is preggers?

Was anyone else supremely happy for Gus and Molly together one year down the road? It was a much better reveal than Marvo being next to Gus's cop car in the middle of nowhere, which was my first thought. I also like that it's gone full circle from Molly appearing to be the dim-witted counterpart at the beginning of the first episode, to the very clued-on and now pregant reincarnation of Marge from the movie!

The most disconcerting thing about seeing Malvo in the bar was how normal his behaviour. We've only ever seen him as a creepy killer with basically no emotions, but now it appears that he is very comfortable in regular life as well. That somehow makes him even more threatening!

Found that EP a bit of a bore, but its the first one I've watched in isolation and I suppose it did move into a new phase of the story. I'm not surprised in the slightest Malvo could act in that way...which I assume is all he is doing...acting...

It's got some of the most inventive and beautiful DOP work I've seen in ages: the white-out shoot-out of a few weeks ago, Malvo's spree kill where we didn't see anyone killed but only panned around the exterior of the building, and last nights beautiful transition shot from Gus' car across the trees.

Must admit i was pretty nervous when they panned away from Gus' car. That was well done.

Me too. There was the nerves, then the sheer beauty of the shot.

Watched the last couple of episodes back to back. Just an excellent season of tele. May it continue. Really like the confidence boost for Lester but the ending there with Malvo in the bar was classic:D That'll put him back in his box!

What a gutless evil prick Lester is turning out to be. Just when I was finding myself rooting for him too.

At least Malvo has the balls to do his own dirty work.

wow! what an episode, so tense.

so many great moments, in the lift "is this what you really want?" - oh my.

Yeah that lift scene was crazy, the tension was unbelievable.

And how Malvo so calmly walks away after killing Lester's wife like nothing even happened.

I also liked that the Deputy's (forgotten her name) hard work is finally coming to fruition.
