Thinking about past players I was curious to find out which WCE players were your favorite characters. Not necesserally the best footballers but those that made the footy team look less boring and made you enjoy the game. For instance players like Langdon, Wilson etc.

My favorite characters were:

Zannotti (the wild man)
Peter "Willow" Wilson
Alex Ischenko.
Must say I also did have a soft spot for Langdon.

Cheers

Having met Wilson I can testify to the fact that he's he****enlarious! When I met him at Subiaco Oval in January 1993 he decided it would be funny to tease me and my sister, we were only 8 and 9. So he was like.......

Willow: Where are you guys from?
Carlyp: Tasmania :D
Willow: What! Wheres your other head mate?
Carlyp: OI!

I will always remember that!

Wilson was a champ, loved having him on our team. Especially for that overhead kick for goal in the granny.

Mainy was the character

Zanotti and Boris Langdon in the earlier days

Scott Cummings and Bluey McKenna were characters especially their antics in 99 and bluey was forever the prankster

I dunno if he's in the same league as the guys mentioned above (Wilson, Langdon ect) but this year i really enjoyed watching Embley play. He always seemed to be having a good time, playing good football and enjoying himself. And he was never scared of sticking up for himself and his teamates. I was at the wet north game this year and remember Embley really getting stuck into stevens...if you ask me we need more like him...great improvement from a few years ago when he seemed to play for the other teams...ie at least 5 direct turnovers a game....
oh well...good to see him playing to his unlimitied potential now...
