MCG, purely for that atmosphere, however I would love to get to the SCG for a cricket match!

Adelaide Oval... best oval in the world to watch cricket, or rugby as shown below.

Adelaide Oval Just ahead of the WACA. I love both of the grounds because they have the cricket feel. You can't go in the MCG with an esky and blanket. You can't take your dog to the MCG (not sure about S.A i have never seen one there). There is no electronic scoreboards. Bet you can't play cricket @ the MCG and watch the Cricket @ the same time. As far as im concerned atmosphere doesnt mean big grounds for cricket. To me atmosphere in cricket is having fun, not being confined to a seat for 8 hours. But we are all different.

Its gotta be Adelaide Oval.

I love the MCG for the big cauldron atmosphere of a ODI final, but for pure cricketing pleasure....5 days of Test Cricket, the sun, the beer, the festival atmosphere, the old scoreboard, a famous curator, FUIC delivered to your seat (members reserve!), patting the players on the back as they leave/return to the pavillion.......its Adelaide Oval for mine. So glad that I became a member there.

Never been to the WACA Ground, but when I get posted to Perth, I'll look at taking up membership there. From the TV, it seems like a good place to watch cricket.

For international cricket, the MCG easily. The Boxing Day Test is always a highlight, I'll be there again this year.
For domestic cricket, the main venues are too big and so there's no atmosphere. But one ground I've always enjoyed for domestic one-day games is North Sydney Oval.

My Favorite cricket grounds are Adelaide Oval, MCG and Punt Road Oval.

All great in their own way.

I wonder if anyone has travelled insterstae to watch a non-final pura cup match. lol.

The last few years I have got across for the South Australia vs Victoria Pura Cup game at Adelaide Oval. This year can't unfortunately due to other commitments.

A couple of weeks ago i had the pleasure of walking in & around Newlands in Cape Town with nobody in the stadium. Absolutely awesome! Beautiful backdrop with the mountain overlooking the ground.

Newlands & Adelaide Oval easily the best Cricket Grounds in the World!!

I tend to disagree about the WACA been similar...Though Adelaide is losing its grass :( I love the Adelaide Oval from walking in the top gates by the practice nets and looking down the grassy embankment over the oval with the City skyline( yes 5 tall buildings = a skyline :D ) in the background.Looking left at all the Moreton Bay figs and the shade they provide to the already growing numbers of pensioners seated on deckchairs with blankets and eskies ready. Then down to the path towards the new smaller electronic scoreboard dwarfed by the ''grand lady'' the finest most informative scoreboard in the world. And under the scoreboard THE BAR..making a choice of the grass in front of the scoreboard bar( not recommended for anyone over 30 at ODI) or a little further around to the new ''temporary'' stands which hide the Victor Richardson gates.Watching as the day progresses the cricket ,the members opposite bake in the morning sun but going green with envy and red with sunburn as they get the afternoon shade when the sun is hottest, watching the boys under the scoreboard run down the grass with fruit/ice and hurl them towards the attendants poking their heads out of the shutters. And then the ''plastic cup salute'' which takes place everytime a woman under 40 parades by ( and yes they love it)

I could go on

BTW the WACA have had a change in recent elections. A group of former WACA players formed a cartel and have taken control of the boardroom with ''el presidente'' Dennis Lillee appointed
