You've obviously never met a teenage girl if you don't realise they can be massively self-absorbed pains in the arse.
I've been driving Uber o n and off the last 6 months or so. As you may imagine, meeting 30-40 strangers each night from all walks of life can be an interesting study in human psychology. I think thats the main reason I'm quite enjoying it.

When you add alchohol into the mix, and with inhibitions dropped it can be very revealing.

In my experience thus far the most obnoxious people, generally speaking aren't who you probably imagine: the drunk 'bogans', battlerrs from sunshine or disco body builder type guys; they are the 18-25 year old girls from the well-off suburbs. After a skinfull, the sense of entitlement, and downright hateful attitude towards their fellow human beings from these girls has to be witnessed to be believed.

Maybe its just a mirror.

nope. I know its not that because theres a rating system whereby each passenger must leave a score out of 5(like ebay) and i have a really high rating (4.8)over 1000s of trips

I usually don't side with the SJW's on here, but if you are only basing the teenage population of females off of girls who are llke 16-20 just from well off suburbs?!! .. who go to clubs and pubs and parties... that's an obvious society sample size issue which wouldn't hold up to ANY scientific criteria to apply a determination of the entire gender.

I'm not saying that drunken b*tches aren't almost universally obnoxious/annoying in that age bracket, but not every one does that to herself. Not even 60% does.

Actually the age group he was referring to was 18-25 and I don't consider them to be teenagers.

I may be wrong but I think of teenagers a being between 13 - 17.

Teenagers are 13-19. which accounts for 2 years of his sample size, and I'd reckon for legal reasons he'd have to maintain they are all over 18 but these days you could not tell a heck of a lot of 15yo from 19yo when they are in "going out" mode.

I think overall his contention is these girls remain "girls" until that kind of age (older than technically "teenage"). So, in essence, its the reverse stigma lobbed against men for being "boys" into their late 20's. Only a lot more women are indoctrinated by and believe that reverse stigma.

Both genders like to throw generalisations at the other.

I know what teen age years are, that was not what I am saying as I know a number of 18+ that are very mature, in full time employment and are very responsible and although technically still teen age come across as very adult.

I think my place of employment is sexist. Women are allowed to wear skirts and dresses, but guys can't wear shorts. It's obvious that it's a sexist policy because men can't show skin

actually, we had a discussion about that recently at work. I argued, that if women can wear skirts, (and reasonable length, design) then the same goes for men and shorts.

what are the well off suburbs, in your opinion.
Are you saying that the boys from this area, aren't pain in the asses? Or just children in this area are pains?
Give me examples of their sense of entitlement?

The pro-feminist individuals in this thread havent made any actual discussion on Feminism in a good few months and have been in pure defense mode. Which is generally not actually defense but scorn and "ppft youre wrong, im right" excellent argument.

So lets put it onto you.

Proposition:
'Women, who are the only sex to be specifically targeted in policy making (both state and private, legislative and common law), are the privileged sex".

Examples of sex based policies.
-Female rebuttable presumption of child custody
-Female only scholarships for Universities and High Schools
-Female only mentoring programs at Universities
-Female only professional associations
-Female Quota's
-Lower sentencing for women
-Lower rates of females being reported/convicted of assault, sexual assault etc.

And thats without looking at the general "proctectionist" natute of human kind that defends women almost universally, which is not given to males similarly.

Discuss.

Not looking for name calling, just seeing your opinion.

Women are privileged because there are specific measures to reduce the inequality they face in society? Nice work Bainy.

That's the point though.. they dont face inequality in society. So they are privileged because of these "measures" put in place on the basis of the big con that is women are unequal.

This is where you, and pro feminists have to PROVE the inequality. Because i can't see it.

If you can't see it now, it is unlikely that you ever will.

I liked it where you put up some bullet points then added discuss, it seemed more like this is what I think and prove me wrong=challenge?

I think if you really want a true discussion, add some facts to your bullet points, might be useful for a genuine discussion.

They're just general examples. They're present everywhere in life. So common they don't need specific examples. But you dont have to prove or disprove them. Just use them as a jumping point if you have specific knowledge on one or more of those points to discuss the proposition that women are privlidged in todays society. But otherwise just discuss the proposition broadly.

I mean some of them are self evident though.

Mother gets automatic major custody of a child.
"Women in [insert proffession here]" are organisations in almost every profession, google women in (your choice of profession) and your state and im sure you'll find one.
Go to university websites and look at their scholarships list. You'll find some for females, you wont find any for males only.

Etc.

See again, the classic "ppft youre wrong im right argument"

Do you realise how much of a joke you are?

If youre not here to discuss **** off out of the thread
Why so angry Bainy?

Be honest, you're not here to discuss it, you have your fingers stuck in your ears yelling 'lalalalala' every time there is an example of inequality faced by women.

Im not angry. Just not going to interact with someone who is so self-righteously idiotic.

Ive discussed every point and my position has not changed.

Ive argued for feminist advances in countries like Saudia Arabia, and believe those plaves need inequality measures. But you'll never find me supporting thos measures in Australia or the western world because inequality does not exist.

Nope, not interested in playing this game, thanks for the invite anyway.

Ok Bainy, I'll play

Please provide evidence of Australian law or policy that enshrines:

-Female rebuttable presumption of child custody
-Lower sentencing for women
-Lower rates of females being reported/convicted of assault, sexual assault etc.

Can't hold a light up to my privlige because i'd have to admit i'm wrong.

Classic
