It will be out tuesday or wednesday. EA games always break street date, and the last couple of fifdas have been 2 to 3 days early. It WILL happen again.

On a side note, the PES demo is complete tripe. I really preffered 09 to this one. Just feels slow, unresponsive and robotic.

What do I need to price match. Should I bring a catalouge in to EB Games or something?
If they are in a center, they ussually just ring them internally or whatever, because most of them know each other. But otherwise probably a catalogue yeah. Or they might just know or take your word for it.

Do the cool skill moves actually feel like they do something now? From playing FIFA games in the past, they largely felt like a gimmic.

I reached a rank of 35th in Fifa09 and not once did i use any sort of skill move, with L2 and the joystick..

Like you said, it felt like a gimmic, but i just thought to myself, that i definetly play better without using it and i would rather play short passes..

Fifa10 has now got me thinking, and im thiking you need to know some skill moves, for those tight and crucial moments, when you need them the most..

Just one thing though, if you play the game in real life, you have an advantage.. Many things i do on in Fifa09 and now much more in 10, is very real to me and makes me feel very much part of the game...

I find the moves much more effective than last year, because as you said it just felt like a gimmick. This year it is actually useful, and you can actually send a defender the wrong way with a step-over or something like that. The skilled dribbling is fantastic though, and is a must use. Once you get in the final third it can really be a lifesaver.

Not sure if this is new or not because it's never happened to me in any fifa game previously, but has anyone ever gotten a penalty shot from being taken out by the keeper while trying to go around them?
Happened to me in one game on the demo, was quite satisfying actually, as it happened while trying to do a skill move.

It hasn't happened to me yet. But that's because skill moves were crap in 09. In 10 you can do the Bridge move and that's easily the most common cause for a penalty in real soccer (when the keeper misses the ball and takes out the player).

If they game breaks early, what day will the Bernabou be free to download on? I'm guessing the 2nd.

EA games very rarely have an actual street date to begin with

Everyone released so far this year has come in a few days early and been available for sale straight away. Fight Night might have ben the only one that was street dated

I would expect it to be out by Tuesday. The game currently has NO street date.

How do you figure???

Most likely next Friday or the 9th. EA Sometimes take a week or two to get their DLC out.

IGN UK: FIFA 10 REVIEW

Closing Comments
FIFA 10 perfects the formula laid down when the series made its debut on the current generation and the end result is a game that’s one of the most refined, polished and compelling takes on the beautiful game – and arguably of any given sport. While this year’s improvements might seem slight on paper, each one is perfectly pitched and works together to create an experience that’s an improvement on last year’s game in every conceivable way; the on-pitch action is superlative, its matches playing out with an authenticity that’s unprecedented, while the numerous modes present near-countless ways to engage with the action. The only question is where EA can take the series next? Improving on this is going to be one hell of a task.

8.5 Presentation
It's got the typical EA shine, though it can sometimes leave the player feeling a little distanced from the action.

8.5 Graphics
A slight overhaul means better character models for the high-profile players - but some of the unknowns still look like Neanderthals.

9.0 Sound
Martin Tyler and Andy Gray are, as ever, an engaging double act, and they're supported by hearty crowd chants and a slick licensed soundtrack.

9.5 Gameplay
FIFA 10 retroactively makes the admittedly excellent 09 seem like a halfway house, such is its brilliance in depicting the game of football.

9.5 Lasting Appeal
Manager Mode is now worth sticking with, My Virtual Pro an inspired addition and improved matchmaking means online is better than ever.

OVERALL 9.3
And Eurogamer which gave it a 9/10.

EUROGAMER FIFA 10 REVIEW
There's more for EA Canada to do, in other words. There can always be a greater variety of outcomes to any given situation, control can always be tighter and more agile, with greater degrees of flexibility, and the holy grail of a believable football season using real clubs and players, with just the right level of unpredictability, is still a ways off. But, having convincingly overtaken its main rival last year, FIFA 10 nevertheless consolidates its lead with great authority. Last year, I said FIFA feels like football, rewards football, and punishes football for football reasons. The difference between FIFA 09 and FIFA 10 is that the latter knows exactly where the former fell short of that, and makes up the distance in almost every case.

OVERALL 9/10
Thanks to Cotchin 9 for uncovering these first.

So how exactly do the new trick moves work? Like what buttons do you push?

I really can't wait for this game... loved Fifa '09!

The trick moves are the same. Hold L2 and use the right stick. The skilled dribbling though, you hold L2 and R2, and that starts it up. then you just use the left stick to move around. Its hard to explain, and doesnt sound that great on paper, but when you see it in game, its flippin awesome.

Skilled dribbling is so you can face up to a defender, it allows much more precise movement and can allow to you protect the ball. Yeah it is hard to describe. I use it to go one on one with a DEF and then when he makes his ridiculous attempt at the ball, bump the right stick to power passed him, worse case scenario, he will give away a free kick and then that just creates more variation in the game.

Also, once you power past a defender you can then use the L2 button to stylishly change direction or get passed another defender, with the speed you aquired from burning the first defender.

It's awesome performing the trademark messi cut in, with skilled dribbling

Some GAME stores will release the game as soon as they have it in stock. Last year I went to Westfield & the guy there put it up on the shelves a day earlier. I went to EB to see if it was on the shelves and it hadn't been put up. I guess it's all a bit of luck depending on the staff working that day.

I guess at the end of the day or two wait never hurt anyone. Can't wait. :D
