Tried to sell Bendtner in the trading period. He was For Sale for over a month, not even one offer. lulz

I started a player career (BAP) with Villarreal got dropped after my first 3 games after getting motm on each occasion, according to the assistant coach i was not ready for such a big game. I thought fair enough the game must be against Real or Barca, i saw red soon as i saw my opponent was Getafe wtf.

The AI is ridiculously ******ed when playing BAP. They can't win headers, can't finish but the most frustrating thing is when they basically walk with the ball at their feet straight into an oncoming defender. Ended up becoming a bit of a ball hog because of it. other than that the game is very enjoyable i like the fact the scores are generally low with the occasional high scoring game.

Played this game today for the first time at HMV in Oxford. Purchased the game already but have to wait until i get back home to Aus to play it.

Anyway had a game against a Spanish guy who was hanging around watching everyone play it like I was. He was Real Madrid and I was Liverpool. Game started off really slowly as we where getting used to the buttons ( I played Fifa 10 a couple of times, but haven't played since Fifa 08.

Straight away I recognized that this game was all about passing and making the right option rather than the ping pong passing I had played previously. The guy busted me wide open and scored with Ronaldo at about the 35 minute mark, and then again busted me wide open 2 minutes later and Kaka drilled one home. REal took a 2 nil lead into half time, and for the first 5 minutes after half time, Real had all the play and had 3 or 4 shots at goal which were well saved by Reina. However the momentum changed when Ronaldo was red carded for a bad sliding tackle, and for the first time that I can remember on a Fifa game that you could actually tell that had happened. My guys were now hitting slick passes and creating headaches for the opposition. It was not long after when Joe Cole struck the back of the net with an amazing long range goal that just beat the diving keeper!

The crowd noise was loud and from that moment on I could do no wrong, his players kept missing easy passes, they were slow and looked under pressure. Joe Cole set up Torres for an easy goal and things were level.

I thought I had this game done and dusted with the confidence my players had but boy did I have to think again. I had about 5 shots on goal, 3 on target and 2 just wide, but his keeper made some really good saves, and switched the momentum back to Real Madrid, it was crazy, I could not get the ball off them as they hit every pass and made my side look second rate. Real won a free kick from just outside the box to the right hand edge, and the guy made no mistake (forgot which player it was ) but he drilled a bullet that curved away and had my keeper in no mans land.

It was back to 3-2. about 81 minutes had gone, and all seemed lost for Liverpool, but enter Joe Cole, another great goal, another long range bomb, this time it was out of desperation as the guy had the clamps on and I could not get a decent shot at goal, so I went the long bomb with Cole and managed to just sneak it past the keeper who I think may have got a glove to it but too powerful to stop it.

It was 3 all and with 89 gone on the clock, I got the ball out wide to the right of Kuyt who had broken free, went to drill home the would be winner only for the ball to hit the top corner where the 2 poles joint together and for the ball to be kicked away and the full time whistle go. WHAT A FINISH!

Extra time and no scores so it went down to penalties, which were bloody hard, but it was great fun, so much more enjoyable to do when you make one small error and you will miss the goals compared to previous games where it was hard to miss penalties. Anyway I fell victim to the new system and sprayed 2 shots way wide and one shot too high (trying the stutter shot )

All in all it was a great game, and I can't wait to get stuck into it when I arrive back home. It was such a step up from my previous experiances of Fifa games, and in my case I tend to play a lot of these games with mates rather than play against the AI.

For anyone of you guys that have the game, have you played the career modes and what are they like? I will probably try them but I tend to get sick of the managing aspect of the games , but if they are realistic and pretty good no doubt I will get hooked!

This game has quite a few flaws I have to say.
Not that im complaining. First season as Liverpool and my goal was to finish top 2. Ended up finishing 3rd on World Class, thought my head was on the chopping block. Nope the board was really impressed, gave me 20mil extra to spend on transfers.
My team is looking pretty good now, got rid of all the hacks.
Id recommend taking a look at Biabiany from Inter. Young, cheap and ridiculously fast :thumbsu:
the game is pretty life like though, Torres out for another 5 weeks. Missed heaps of games last season with injury as well. Thank god for Suarez

I am glad you didn't get sacked for finishing 3rd, in reality there is no difference between 2nd and 3rd but you probably would have been sacked before the end of the season in FIFA 10. You still qualified for the Champions League and that is the main thing I guess.

The one thing I've noticed is the complete lack of fouls the AI will give out. Literally game after game ill struggle to get a free kick, havent had one penalty in 1 and half seasons, and no red card for the opposition team in that time either.

I traded out Torres and got K.Honda is a long distance gun with Malouda.

The computer doing random tricks is starting to piss me off now. It means they can skip around you too easily, or sometimes you do tackle them but because they did a trick it turns into a foul.

This shit even happens when I'm playing as Adelaide United on Pro.

Turn on handballs. I've had 3 penalties from handballs in 4 games!

Loving this game so far. a lot harder than FIFA 10 which is good.

My favourite feature of the game at the moment is the virtual pro club. Getting mates pros all on the one team and playing against other clubs is awesome.

Is anyone else in a VP club? we are looking for some teams to play in australia so the lag decreases. Our team name is Hampton Park (abbrev: HPE). Im pretty sure you can search for teams to play?

Can someone explain why my striker immediately disappeared from my team as soon as the transfer period started? he's playing for blackburn now.. hoping it's not the bug from last year all over again. I checked his contract earlier in the season and it said his had already been discussed for the year when i hadn't touched it

Loving this game.
So many fouls though. And occassionally your opponent does amazing skill moves (no matter what player) to get passed you, and you can't stop them.

The player might have been on loan.
I had 3-4 players on loan which said "loaned for full season" but i guess they must have joined halfway through last year because by the mid year transfer period, they were all gone.
Had to spend all my money on some Free agents

AI gets way too many easy/non frees and i get no free kicks. It's actually ridiculous the lack of fouls there are for human controlled players. I just saved a video of a penalty of which I have no clue whatsoever how they got it. No push, no tackle, no handball, nothing.

Man playing World Class, doing fine but i can only imagine legendary with the awful umpiring...

gothedons hope you meant so many fouls by you and none by the AI...well none rewarded.

Signed Neymar, Reina, David Luiz for Arsenal....getting crazy injuries. Chamakh dominates....gets injured, Arshavin gets injured when he gets back, next game Fabregas is out....all get back and Nasri is injured. Got plenty of CM's but still disappointing.

Anyone else use youngsters for cup games :D

**** You *** c....T Ea ****s.

Fifa is nearly gonna get the Blundestone Boot of death.

Coffee Coaster 11=WE are Dumb!

What the ****? They were supposed to improve the penalties in this game. After busting a bloody nut in a 1-1 draw, I do penalties for the first time and wow, they're even worse than before. Simply hitting the ball on target shouldn't be so damn hard, if you don't get the dot in the green zone, your player overpowers the shit out of it and because the dot moves so fast and the green part is so small, it makes something as easy as hitting a penalty on target hard as ****.

Also annoyed at the goalkeeper crap. If I'm passing with the goalkeeper, it should pass in the direction I point the left stick in but instead, passes based on power so if I want a quick short pass to my left back but overpower it slightly, it might pass to a CM/CB and thus, a d**khead opponent striker will take it for an easy goal and as a result, delay the crap out of the celebration.

Aside from that, it's still a big improvement in Fifa 10, especially in Manager Mode, despite the fact that they omitted quite a few features from it.

FIFA has always had jibby umpiring.
It seems to be just a bit testy rather than anything fundamentally flawed.

I see a lot of fouls for just dropping the foot into an opponent a lot of the time or just for pushing the opponent off the ball too. I think the reason why generally AI teams don't get punished as much is simply because they are programmed to not have as many errors in their tackling (the amount of times they have perfectly come in for a slide tackle in and around the penalty box is insane).

All that really needs to be done is to have a little bit more leniency in how often the lighter free kicks are given away and make the AI not so perfect when tackling.

Has anyone tried just having a completely lenient umpire for several matches then a strict one and compare the foul results? Wouldn't be a bad test to see how different it is.

LOL how terrible are you at these games? The penalty system is fantastic and near on damn perfect.

I reckon I go about 9/10 for penalties regardless of player. FWIW the better ranked the player the wider the green zone and the slower the dot moves.

You can still easily hit penalties even in the yellow too.

Just do the tutorials if there is some in FIFA 11 or look them up on Youtube for how they properly work. Then l2game.

Not the best but hardly terrible. Only bashed the penalties, which are flawed.

Didn't see any green zone no matter how much I moved the left stick. I try to picture where it is but players just bomb it.

Again, not from what I played.
