Ultimate Teamers for the packs!

BTW, has anybody been pre building an Ultimate Team using the web application over the past week?

Scrounging up what I can from free online packs and trading I've been able to start a Brasilian team.

I have mate. I've got a fairly decent squad, all are rated between 78-82 with the same formation.

I've been going through the auctions and picking up 80-81 rated players for around 500-550 coins. I then sell them for anywhere between 650-800. Do this with ten or so cards and you've got 1.5k.

Yep, some guy said he was playing a League Cup match in broad daylight. Even though the kickoff time said 8pm.

EDIT: Apparently, CL matches are all night time only after the month of September...

Why they took out the option to change weather/time of day, I'll never know. Playing in the snow sucks.

Some stadiums don't have night games/all weather conditions. Just edit the stadiums to fit accordingly if it's that big a deal to you.

For jokers like me who do put the effort in, only to be met with average results, the opportunity to score a player I have zero chance of earning is something I would never pass up.

Is it just luck pretty much? I sold a couple players and got some decent coinage from the daily gift then bought a premium pack....got dick all haha.

I understand what you mean EBIAC, for a select lucky few they will probably get a Messi and be set for ages. In a way I am pumped to get the packs but it does take away the challenge of creating a great team by winning a bunch of games, smart buying/selling and perhaps the luck of the draw buying the packs.

I guarantee I will get dick all from my packs, still excited though. Reminds me of collecting footy stickers back in the day "got, got, NEED!, got, got...etc".

Go through the pages all the way to where the auctions start to get towards the '1 hour left' timeslot. Usually most people who put players up for auction set that time. Sometimes, people will make mistakes with their pricing (eg. they'll select 2500 coins instead of 25000). If you're lucky, you can snare a few guns for prices well below what they should be.

- Take up knitting.
- Steal someone's grandmother.
- Plant a weapon in someone's pocket, call the police and when they arrive, pretend you've been shot.
- Draw a picture of a kitty.
- Eat a baby.
- Eat several babies.
- Visit Harvey Norman and get a quote on a new lounge suite.

But it's still giving you a huge advantage.

I'll be getting the free packs too (I actually didn't know the JB pre-order game them to you, but hey), but I think it takes away some of the satisfaction of saying 'here is my team, I got here on my own'.
