Hey guys, got a question for you all. As someone who's not really a gamer and plays FIFA for the career mode is it worth me buying a PS4/XBOX one and getting FIFA 17 or will I be fine to just get it on the 360 (I think it's the last one they're selling on 360?) bearing in mind I'm just a career mode player

thanks in advance!

Well so far I suck at many things in this game. I just keep telling myself I'm playing very good opponents trying to quickly get to div 1. ;):$

Any way to make the corner kick not a dolly? And I can't seem to shoot with power to save myself, constantly blocked by the keeper, yet others bang them in from 40 yards every flipping time...

Used 2200 Fifa coins (hey I had money to burn on the Xbox account lol), only player I got of note was Rooney. I have a lot of others that I will now rotate around to see if I can boost the FUT team's chemistry from 35. I attempted to do it with the first few bronze/silver/gold players I had from the default packs when starting the game.... but it only jumped from 35 to 37%.

Probably stick with the 360 for now.

Maybe ask for the ps4/xbox one console and a copy of the game as a Christmas present ? :D

Haha it's okay I could get it if really unecssary I'm just wondering as someone who purely plays career mode if it's really necessary

If you're wondering if it's time to upgrade to next gen and I'm guessing you have the funds to do so then you really can't lose just jumping in now. Console prices are pretty decent at the moment, I also recall seeing some pretty tasty XB1 deals recently.

Only ever play for career mode
is it
Worth upgrading from 16 (PS4)

FUT is full of shit. For whatever reason I wasn't invited to use the web app early so here I am starting with a team of spuds. First two games I romped as you would expect since it's only amateur and semi pro. A couple more games I drop due to being semi pro and pro and that's fair enough I guess since my team is so bad. I see another amateur game coming up so I save my 'best' squad as I only need one more win for promotion. Firstly despite my team being full 99 fitness they come out only half energy and then to top it off the computer are playing like superstars?! It's on bloody amateurs. They're nailing massive cross field through balls, defending like champs and all 7 of my shots on target were stopped like Neuer was in the net including a couple ripper top corner saves when I broke out the back and had the keeper one out. I remember EA letting slip the 'adaptive difficulty' shit slip a few years back on Madden so 'games are never one sided' but it seems like it is on steroids in FUT. I don't think I have ever finished a game scoreless against an amateur opponent since I first picked up a FIFA game.

Going to be a long slog putting a team together at this rate.

I heard there was a glitch in UT where it takes your default difficulty that you choose and plays at that difficulty in UT, even if it says amateur or something.

Horrible if so. Seems like another case of where the changes to the game play that make handling the good players better and overall gameplay improvements translate poorly to lower ranked players. It's pushing shit up hill when it's nigh impossible to get a clean touch or a pass where you want it to go. AI are turning on dimes where I have the turning circle of a truck. All I'm trying to do is amass enough coins to buy out some cheap players but need to build the squad in one go as adding them to this group of rejects one at a time will be a waste of coins if I keep struggling against pleb AI teams and start running out of contracts.

Yeah this is definitely true, was wondering why I couldn't score a goal v semi pro and then I stumbled across this information. Hopefully it is patched soon.

Does anyone actually like the new cornering system?
Yes. I've scored heaps of goals now than ever.

Don't get the 360 edition. Last gen is basically dead.

Going out on loan is a massive dtainer in the Journey, you put the difficulty on Legendary and it's still an easy win...

Can't stand being a striker in journey, I find it too hard to get involved with dumb teammates. Now I have to work my way back into the 11 from sub but at least it's usually as a midfielder.

I usually nominate to play as a defender either LB/RB when playing in the online team/virtual pro mode. Find it more fun, even though it's more hairy if the other team runs right past you lol.

Oops I was referring to past Fifa's when playing the mass online team games where everyone playing picked their position in the team v team matchup. Granted the last time I played that mode was in Fifa 13.

That's pro clubs. I play as a midfielder in my team's pro club.

You could before the exit trials started.

Striker, winger or CAM.

I chose CAM then but when you (or in my case anyway) get subbed in it is for whatever position. I started with West Brom and usually got subbed in at LM/RM. I'm with Villa now and if I get dropped to the bench I'll get subbed into RCM for Jedinak but if I start it is LS. The reason I got loaned out is because of WBA signing a certain striker (trying to avoid too many spoilers). I just find I score and assist more playing midfield because I can get involved where as playing striker I'm relying on the plebs on my team doing the work and hoping I can get a decent ball.

Fair enough.

I'm not far enough in to have noticed yet.
