Weekend League at/after TOTS is just a shitshow. Everyone has the same teams, or the same 5/6 players and they're sweaty as hell. RB's and LB's at CB without any consequences + directional nutmeg and bridges every attack...it gets tiresome, quickly.

Lesson learned. I was going to avoid it but that 11 wins gets auto qualification and I'm only playing it for FUT Swap tokens. I'll take my red Skriniar and be thankful I still have sanity.

Yeah, the RB/LB at CB is such crap. Didn't play to many with those this weekend though. A lot of Bundes backline with Davies/Alaba/Tapsoba/Mbabu and swap in that 90 pace Lacrouix or whatever his name is, faced that a lot.

Bundesliga TOTS week they gave you a cracked backline for not too much with Zagadou/Tapsoba/Roussilon/Mbabu. Shame they shit the bed with content after that.

Only just got a start in WL, thought I was semi decent online til now.

**** me I've had the living daylights belted out of me. Don't think I'm going to give it another go to be honest.

Have played about 10 games now and have gone 1-9 and I reckon my GD is about 40-50 odd to about 12 and that's probably talking it up.

Your playing definitely at the wrong time of year. Only the hard-core and pro's are still playing WL and the good rewards means people will be sweating it so much more. The match making should even it self out eventually. People suggest not quitting games early to as that might affect the match making but I haven't noticed much difference.

Is the career / offfine mode any good, or is online where it's at?

I'm really not an online kinda guy - just wanna chew through some kind of career / team save but it seems this thread is solely all about online play.

The standard edition is on sale on the PS Store so keen on it if the AI isn't half bad playing in some kind of career mode.

Yeah I know.

Been hoping the matchmaking would sort itself out but I seem to have found myself in the sweat merchant division.

Manager career is pretty fun, can get dry after a while but I really enjoy it, taking a team to glory while pulling off smart transfer moves and youth development is great. AI is good, just depends what difficulty you play on and how good your team is.

I solely play offline manager career mode.

I generally choose a cellar dweller team in league one or league Two and climb my way up. The low transfer budgets can be tricky but it is a lot more rewarding than playing in the premier league straight up which I found very stale very quickly.

One of my favourite play throughs was getting fired by Burnley for being 14th in the EPL in January, taking over Barnsley (who were 7 points in the relegation zone), dragging them to 21st and surviving in the championship by 1 point, and then next season claiming second spot on the last day to earn automatic promotion.

I do the same but I brought Cork City from Ireland who are the lowest rated team in the game into League 2 and I'm bringing them up to the prem. So much fun
