This design looks much better on cotton, rather than polyester. The tightness of the original makes it look infinitely cooler.

I also prefer the home version of that BB strip. Why would they were an away jumper, at home? I suppose it was to make it more similar to the Lions jumper.

Do you think there would be any of these still in existence? What about the home/away cerise ones? I'd love to have any Bears guernsey.

Apply that jumper to how the jumpers are now cut in 2011, and it will be just as tight, if not tighter than the old cotton ones. Plus, you can always get a smaller, tighter fitting size

Honestly I'd just love to get my hands on an old 80's Footscray jumper in an adult size.

I have one of my old ones in a kids size (my mum donated the rest).

The only adult sized Footscray one I have now is the "Diamond dogs" one I purchased new when I was 14.

Pretty keen to get this made up in China (but in the new fabrics) with full sponsors at some joint that will make it and not care about the copyright too much.

Anyone know if they wore a sponsor on the back of the jumper when they had Mitre10 on the front? Also, if there is any inaccuracies let us know

No back sponsor, they didn't appear til 1994. That would be a sweet guernsey to get made up.

who you getting to make them up?? great idea.... when u carnt get the original get the 2nd best a replicia. knowing that 95% of afl jumpers with afl logos on them are actually replicas

That Vodafone logo placement is pretty bad. Aside from that and a few nitpicks it actually looks good.

I'm not sure what the appeal of the cerise Bears jumper is though.

Tbh, would hardly have known it was fake from that picture.
I guess the cerise is just 'appealing' because its unique, weird and pretty rare. Occasionally hear of people with Roys guernseys (can still buy them legitimately anyway) whereas I hardly ever see Bears guernseys. Of course any fake is still not the same as an original

After years of searching for an orange North guernsey, I finally found one on Ebay last year.

So my whales are now these two obscure jumpers:

Nike guernsey with 5 stripes across the front, not the normal 3. Only worn in one game, chances of finding, nil.

Not a footy guernsey, but I couldn't help but think of this thread when I had an eBay win today.

Since release I've been trying to win a Jason Taylor 2007 AFC Pro Bowl jersey. I'm a big dolphins fan and I've got a couple of team jerseys, but I've been hanging out for a pro bowl jersey.

I've seen several of these online before, but inevitably they either blow out to $150+ or they are XXL or bigger.

Yesterday I saw my whale on ebay. A medium with a starting bid of $45, thought it would blow out but put it on my watch list anyway. It only had a day or so on it with no bids.

At work today, my iphone vibrates, eBay item ending soon. I check and it has 1 minute left, still no bids! I quickly bid and watched the seconds tick off. Absolutely stoked with it! Brand new with tags and everything!

My two remaining whales are the 2003 power away guernsey, with the lightning bolt tri panel, and the 1997 era Australian ODI shirt
