Heard this on the weekend from someone who should know...glad CC has all but confirmed it. Fantastic choice and a massive step forward in the way we operate.

They were talking in general about Tex and JPod said he was most surprised to see the leadership qualities that Tex displayed and said something like leading the club for the next 5-10 years.
Sounded as if JPod knew he had let something slip, but Flipper and Wildy had no idea
Said Tex was his favourite player to watch before he came to Adl but now he's seen his work rate and leadership up close he's super impressed and sure Tex will lead the club forward for the next 5-10 years

Would absolutely love to see Tex be captain, he is just the sort of player that I reckon would relish the role and take his game to a new level.
Danger I just feel would maybe put too much pressure on himself and could be a bit distracting for him.

Just think we have to give him more credit and not jump at shadows too much just yet. Danger would probably be among the most supportive of having Tex as captain. He's a natural leader and doesn't know what the word pressure means so its unlikely to affect his game having the added responsibility, whereas Danger might be quietly ok with not having the extra stuff to worry about and being to go about his natural game.
Prior to the 2014 season I wouldn't have even considered Tex as a contender. But that changed pretty quickly when he returned from his knee. He oozes leadership and will be a brilliant captain. We won't be hiding under the old 'but his off-field work is first class' blanket.
Guilty.
My first thought was - 'well there goes Danger, I wonder who we're going to buy'

I remember danger saying after texs comeback game that everyone walks taller with tex in the side.. Guy is our heart and soul if true great decision

We do not have anything official. As a person of female intuition. Danger is a young lad with self interest. Tex is natural but may fail in diplomacy. Sloane is a team try hard and very much will give it is all. They are all very young.
Reasonable question. Seeing it's out, if it wasn't true, would the club not correct it via a tweet. Eg, just say that no decision has yet been made or something similar.
