If Sloane is pissed that's a good thing. It shows he wants to be Captain of our club. If he leaves because of it hes a sook but I don't believe he is or will.
As for Danger, I'm worried that he wasn't pissed as much.

I bet it was more a case of the players voting for VB out of loyalty and and some of the leadership group going in to bat for him, more in terms of questioning the change itself, not questioning Tex's appointment specifically. They love him. Mail my arse

How does the club now handle the VC, given VB's 2015 re-emergence and the dual captaincy of Sloane and Danger from 2014? If Sloaney and/or Danger miss out, does it reflect on the job they did last year? Difficult, but I guess 'team first' will prevail.
What I did like, as far as I could see, was the broad smiles on all faces as Tex fronted with Walsh at the captaincy announcement.

From memory we rarely have VCs these days. It is more a job that is rotated through the leadership group. One captain and then the leadership group all sharing the 'VC' responsibility. I remember a game when VB was injured and the captain for the day was Rutten as he won the coin toss they did in-house. His captain duties were to do the coin toss on the field. The rest of the leadership group who was on field all took over as 'joint captains'.

None that I saw but if someone is thinking it means more to post something on social media instead of actually saying something to someone's face, then more fool them. Considering that the leadership group all heard about it on the weekend and then they had a meeting yesterday and the rest of the playing group heard about it then too, I get the feeling that congratulations etc were all said then. Pointless to repeat it on social media.

Sloane has challenged the decision more than Danger
However you may be correct it might be more about Tex getting the role instead of VB and less about Sloaney missing out

Did he feel from outside that Danger was a bit bigger than the club? Best player, captain in waiting, whole state hanging on his contract signature, in Noble's office finding out how the list is taking shape, Sando loved him etc.

But it's not intra club business. It's a public announcement, and two very public contenders for the job. Why would you not get on twitter and post a congratulatory message?
Is he under instructions from the club as well?
Look, I'm not trying to invent disharmony. I'm all for Tex's appointment. I think it's a great choice and I said on here months ago that I thought both Danger and Sloane might be happier with Tex getting it than one of each other. But there was a clear implication in the press conference that there was robust discussion at the very least, and I find the social media silence a little odd. Maybe there's nothing in it, but it does seem funny.
