This draft choice is done and dusted if not number 1 he will be number 2.

2 - Melbourne - Jack Trengove - 185cm, 80kg - Sturt (SA)
Melbourne FC Would love to get the best two midfield prospects in this years draft. I reckon there will look tall in there 2nd and 3rd round choices.
Jack Trengrove is a fantastic midfielder who has senior experience playing in the SANFL, Was named Ruck Rover in 2009 Under 18 All Australian team.

3 - Richmond - John Butcher – 197cm, 84kgs - Gippsland Power (VC)
Richmond would love to get another tall down the club, John Butcher so far looks like the best tall prospect. He is a proven goal kicker and has a strong set of hands, Could be one of the best Full Forwards in years to come.

4 - Fremantle - Anthony Morobito – 190cm, 90kg - Peel Thunder (WA)
Tall athletic midfielder with great pace and good skills he is the new modern day footballer, Similar to Adam Goodes how he moves around, Local boy too which is even better great prospect for Fremantle. Named on the Wing for the 2009 All Australian Team

5 - North Melbourne - Dustin Martin – 187cm – 86kg - Bendigo Pioneers (VC)
North Melbourne will look to get another great midfielder down at club, I rate this kid highly i reckon he could be the best out of this years draft. Has a great kick on him moves around well good mark everything you want in a tall modern day midfielder, Named in the Center for the 2009 All Australian Team

6 - Sydney - Gary Rohan – 186cm 79kg - Geelong Falcons (VC)
Quick Half forward/Midfielder with an X Factor who Sydney would love down at the club. Has explosive speed with the ball, Great set of hands and can take good grabs. Will Suit in well down at Sydney's New young Forward line. Named on the Half Forward for the 2009 All Australian Team.

7 - West Coast - Kane Lucas – 189cm – 80kg - East Fremantle (WA)
West Coast have got another beauty here. Another tall Athletic Midfielder/ Half Forward has good clean silky skills, Reads the lines well. West Coast could possibly look at Lewis Jetta at this pick. Named on the Half Forward Under 18 2009 All Australian Team,

8 - Port Adelaide - Luke Tapscott – 181cm 84kgs – North Adelaide (SA)

The strongly-built midfielder/forward Will fit in well at Port Adelaide, since his kicking is widely regarded as the best of the underage talent. Port Adelaide Will love this skillful kid down at the Club, Port may go Tall here for a ruck Placement kids like, Jack Fitspatrick, James Criag, Nathan Vardy.

9 - Hawthorn - Ben Cunnington - 186cm 84kg - Geelong Falcons (VC)

Hawthorn will be licking there lips as Ben Cunnington is still around at pick 9. Is a hard at it midfielder also can play as medium forward. Has good skills and is a proven Goal Kicker up forward. Could fit in nicely along side Buddy and Roughy up Forward. Runner up in the Morrish Medal and Forward Pocket in Under 18 All Australian Team.

10 - Essendon - Koby Stevens – 188cm 83kg – Gippsland Power (VC)
This hard nut Country Boy will fit in well down at Essendon, Wins his own ball has good foot skills. Is in the 2009 AIS Squad. Has been seen down at Essendon FC a fair bit.

11 - Melbourne – Mathew Panos - 193cm, 80kg – Norwood (SA)
Melbourne would like another KP at the club, With selecting Scully and Trengrove at 1 and 2. There will look to go big at this selection. Panos is the best Forward Option in this years draft behind Butcher. Panos kicked the most Goals in the under 18 championships with 14. Named at FF in the Under 18 All Australian team.

12 - Brisbane - Lewis Jetta - 178cm 72kg - Swan Districts (WA)

This was a hard choice for me but i have herd comments like Brisbane need Someone to help out Bradshaw, Brown and need a speedy Midfielder. Well this guy is both. He is a mature age recruit from the WAFL, But is ready to play on the big stage. This kid has Fantastic skills and is Cyril Rioli type.

13 - Adelaide - Brad Sheppard 186cm, 84kg - East Fremantle (WA)

Brad Sheppard is a fantastic prospect, Is a running Halfback/Midfielder who loves to run the lines, Has good foot skills. Adelaide will love another running Halfback who can be the replacement for Andrew Mcleoud

14 - Collngwood - Daniel Talia - 195cm, 80kg - Calder Cannons (VM)
This is what Collingwood Needs a Tall athletic CHB/CHF. With the Aging presti and the struggling forward line this kid could be the answer. Has good foot skills racks up the ball from CHB and is a rebounding defender and is good one on one. Was Named CHB for the 2009 Under 18 All Australian Team

15 - Bulldogs - Ben Griffths - 199cm, 99kg - Eastern (VM)

Western Bulldogs need a tall Forward and need one now, Can this Kid be the answer has great size on him is a proven Goal kicker, and has a great set of hands on him. The Dogs would love to have him down the club.

Christensen is a fantastic midfielder seems to have a lot to do with the Geelong FC, is Quick and a in and under player similar to Brent Harvery.

17 - St Kilda - Andrew Moore - 188cm, 81kg - Eastern (VM)
With Saints have the 2 Marking forwards in Kozi and Riewolt, Saints would love a 3rd Tall. Andrew Moore is a fantastic prospect plays a lot like Ryan O'Keefe racks up the ball and kicks goals, Also can Play down back.

This hard nut Country Boy will fit in well down at Essendon, Wins his own ball has good foot skills. Is in the 2009 AIS Squad. Has been seen down at Essendon FC a fair bit.

Happy with that.

If Richmond don't take Butcher and take a mid like Martin instead, what would the top ten look like then?

11 - Carlton – Mathew Panos - 193cm, 80kg – Norwood (SA)
Carlton will look for another Tall Marking forward to help out Fevola, Panos is the Best FF left in this draft. Kicked 14 Goals in the Under 18 Championships and was named at FF n the 2009 Under 18 All Australian Team.

*snip*

14 - Collngwood - Daniel Talia - 195cm, 80kg - Calder Cannons (VM)

I guess you can call it a coincidence that the player you wanted slid right past Carlton, Brisbane and Adelaide...

Hey mate nice draft. Would be super happy with Lewis Jetta but I have my concerns with Brisbane drafting Jetta. Could he turn out to be a Chris Yarran. I think he is the type that will get homesick and want to return home. Would rather another mid.

Going by this Carlisle would be available at pick 18 - I could handle that.
Yep i agree i got Carlisle after that at Pick 18 also you got another option with Aaron Black Another tall Forward prospect from WA who is rated as a first round draft pick

Yeah i know but Talia is in the Picks 9 to 14 area, Cunnington is Defiantly going to Hawthorn if still available Other option he could go to is Carlton but looks like you will go for Panos over him.
Lewis Jetta and Bradley Shepard are both fantastic prospects, If Talia is taken Collingwood will go for Carlisle who is very similar to Talia or one of the three Ruckman Vardy, Fitspatrick or Craig

Happy with that.

NO nathan Vardy in ur first round

What number do u think he would go????

Yes i reckon he will slip so far James Craig and Jack Fitzpatrick are ahead of Nathan Vardy IMO, I recon he will be around Picks 24 to 30.

would sydney tack butcher when they have jesse white and lewis johnston from last years draft?

Yes i believe so John Butcher is a fantastic talent, You always need back ups on your list and there is a hole in Sydney's list with Barry Hall & Micheal O’Loughlin retired

My gosh if Vardy slipped to our thrid round pick 32 or 33 (cant remember) and we picked up Scully, trengove, Carlisle and Vardy i would be over the moon and Melbourne would be set for AFL domination. I am positive though that Vardy wont be around past pick 30

From what I have heard Craig is only 195cm tall, and that is a bit undersized in modern day ruck terms. In my opinion he should go early to mid third round, with a team turning him into possibly a Merret type player. He does, however, have pretty good skills for a big man. Vardy being a geniune ruck height is therefore in my opinion the best prospect just ahead of Fitzpatrick who had the most upside athletically.

I can tell you all now if Talia or Carlisle are still available the blues will pick them no matter what - both big boys who are still growing and developing - can play at both ends - don't discount Carlisle - 4 goals v SA - Full back V WA, Full back in TAC Side of year - has smashed 2 All-Aust in last 2 weeks -all the guys you mentioned are great but size and versatile size beats all even super midfielders (no Judd in this group).
Remember Buddy & Roughy v Delidio & Tambling or Johnston v Ottens.
Panos is good but the other 2 will go past him in time no doubt.

I hope we get martin he will be a freak:thumbsu:

Yeah i agree :thumbsu:

Fairly over-rated on these boards, is seen to be too one dimensional. Having said that I do like him as a propsect.

Yeah i'm starting to think different now with.
11 - Carlton - Daniel Talia
12 - Brisbane - Lewis Jetta
13 - Adelaide - Bradley Sheppard
14 - Collingwood - Jake Carlisle
15 - Western Bulldogs - Aaron Black

Hope this is what happens as it would mean Griffiths would be there for the Tigers at 19 after taking Martin at 3.
