Walker not in the side
9-8 = 56.25% Winning percentage

Walker in the side
2-0 =100% Winning perecentage

We have 43.75% more chance of winning with 1AW in the side ;)

It's great to see him back but as he said it will take him some time to get his mojo back. I would expect him to be playing with a lot more confidence in about 3 weeks, just in time for finals!

Alot of people thought his career was over but it's a credit to him and the medical staff to be able to get him back from this because we all know a fit Walker is a gun.

Go Walks! We believe in you :thumbsu::)

I must say he didn't seem to cover the ground all that well quite yet.
I may be wrong as I have watched on TV only on two occasions.

I noticed this too, but even thought the club say he is the fittest at the club there is still a difference between fit and match fit.

It's hard to come back from 4 months out of the game and continue to make those explosive efforts throughout a game. Expect this to improve over the coming weeks.

I think match fitness is what he needs, and he is only going to get that playing in the AFL and not the reserves. But it's good timing for the us, because by the time finals come around he is going to have played 5 games, and will be peaking at the right time as well and not to mention he is going to be fresh as a daisy. :)

And nothing illustrates Walker's comeback better than a shot of Eddie Betts and Kade Simpson celebrating a goal!

It's not as worse as: Brendan Fevola celebrates Jeff Gartlett's goal against Sydney.. :o

Yazza.

Where was Walker playing on the weekend? I think he was used of the interchange bench a lot?

Yes, but he didn't always sit in the same bench position. After half-time he was often drifting toward the end of the bench (personally believe he is more suited there). Just shows his all-round flexibility - our best utility player when firing.

Or it shows how inconsistent he is. :p

definately expecting better things from 1AW once he gets his touch back after a few more games and cannot wait for it to happen. that being said, i was quite happy with his contribution against the cats.

Don't underestimtae the importance of Walker, once he gets full confidence back he will add a lot of run, a bit of a xfactor. When you see him start tackling with vigor, then he will be back. You can see he is holding back a little at the moment. Slowly but surely guys.

Correct - and will be an important counterbalance to the inevitable slowing up of one or two of our young boys over the next month or so.

It wasn't so much the way he was covering the ground.

More just getting into the play.

I think its a timing and familiarity thing that comes with playing week in and week out.

Remember, he's hardley played in two years. Fitness is fine.....game sense and positioning is a little off.

He'll get 25% better each week and be up and going for the finals.......expect him to play big minutes vs Dees and really try and open the game up......maybe giving Judd a bit of a breather with less game time going into the finals.

I love the way he crashes packs, all this is going to come with more game time and confidence.

Wasn't happy with his work on the bench either ..he turned the drink bottle over 4 times and fumbled a towell ..still needs to work on his disposal .

You idiots :thumbsu:

But yeah, I can hardly wait for Walks to get properly settled back in and get his match fitness up.

The Force is strong with this one. :)
