Just watching another replay of us coming from 51 down to beat freo that day and am still in awe of Davey's goal (one of).

He pants'd a defender stand over the mark so bad with a fake, that he fell over on his ass. Then he proceeded to sell the next would-be tackler the same bit of candy twice before coolly slotting it from fifty. Awesome and a timely reminder of the skill this bloke possesses. He started on the wing and took it on himself, even though it may not have been the highest percentage play.

Less interestingly, Miller was just about best on for us that day...

Useless thoughts these, I know, but still it was on Fox Sports 1 last night and couldn't help but get (more) excited

The turn around in that game was really unbelievable. We played so badly in the first half.

Amazing to see how much the team has changed since then, even Freo's side.

Those dark days are over boys.

Watched it too last night, was a great game. Loving Wonaeamirri's
celebrations and his reading of the ball off the pack. Was interesting to see how many of the players on the park that day aren't with us anymore.

"Get a boot to it son" loved his celebration after that one too.

Yeah i thought Warnock was fantastic for us too. Wonder if he can crack back into the side this year. He and Chip actually forged a pretty good pair down back early on last year.


Both sides were rubbish in the first half that day, but it still brings a smile to my face

I taped the game from when it was on channel 7 footy flash backs a few months ago but only watched the second half

Would we have won without that goal? Must have had them really pumped!

yeah i was thinking the same thing about that goal. We were definitely already on the comeback trail but that goal brought all the 19,000 fans that were there into the game.

Love this thread. One of my favourite goals of all time, he just made it up as it was happening. That second dummy would have to go down as one of the greatest of all time, Crowley was completely sold.
