I agree with Caro. Why does Crotch Crotchison[/Jabba the Hutch] have to go all genital with her? Sayin' that she'd been seduced by Mark Harvey over lunch. Blokes do lunch and statistically speakin' it's only sexual for a handful. Sam did say that he'd never seen Crotchy[/Jabba] out with a female.

I think Hutchy's entertainment value has slipped since he started pseudo-subbing for Garry on Cirque du Footy Show.

My take on Jabba the Hutch[, owner of Footy Assified] :

He used to be an even bigger clown/pseudo-dork. Remember when he used to close every third show by throwing his "notes" in the air in [obviously mock] disgust at some opinion held by one of his "fellow" panelists?

His role on this show is half comic iconoclast and half hard-bald headed, heat-seeking, [ex-]scandal mongering, rubbish-sifting and jockstrap-sniffing (jk) excuse for a journo, complete with a [comically] embarrassing history.

The most important thing to remember about The [Media] Player Formerly Known [Jokingly] As Crotch Crotchison is that he owns Footy Assified so Nine pays him for it and everyone on it works for him.

Hutchy thinks everything in the afl should change to go with what happens in American sports. He wants 18 Thursday night games a year. Like the NFL has with 16 a year. But Thursday night football is probably the worst game of the week tv ratings wise in the NFL and quality wise. Also up until a couple of years ago the Thursday night game wasn't even televised nationally. I honestly doubt he watches any NFL games outside the super bowl

Last I heard the NFL were thinking about doing away with it. Because the rest of the games are Sunday/Monday it completely ruins the breaks between games and as you say it doesn't rate. The only reason they've tried Thursdays is because they're not allowed to play on Saturday (college football) or Friday night (high school football).

They are nothing more than journalist kick-starters, designed to feed the self-serving interests of the media.

As much as it pains me to say this, Hutchy was right. If the clubs/players were more accessible, there would be no need for the doorstop interviews. I was at a loss as to why Buckley couldn't bring himself to concede that point.

Having access to 1 club specified player after training etc is really an outdated model.

Hutchie is a total douche.
His only single idea is 'let's be more like America'.
He think that is the aim of life.
Having lived in the US for a while I can safely say we do NOT want to copy anything they do.
Plenty of other countries we can use as role models.
The argument that we should do X and Y because 'that's what they do in the US' should not be allowed as an argument.
The argument should be about thinking for ourselves.
What kind of culture, code do WE want for ourselves?
Why growth for growth's sake?
What about quality over quantity.
Just copying every single trend in the US without questioning is truly moronic. Really gets my goat.
Sure we can learn something from them - but that doesnt mean swallowing every single thing wholesale without thinking about it.
