WA has:
Coulter-Nile
Behrendorff
J Richardson
Paris
Green
Mackin
Kelly

Agar
Qadir

Now, unfortunately half of those are being managed or are white ball specialists :(

Add NSW's handy collection of bowlers and these three teams could probably make three well-balanced international attacks. We're not short of quality bowlers. Batsmen, on the other hand...

I would much rather see us get beat with a bunch of youngsters than get beat by the same old tried and true players who dont preform when the pressure is on. But the selectors will go back to the Marsh's. Hopefully the young blokes like Edwards, Sangha, Pocovski (I know he's not playing at the minute) and Phillipe keep making runs

Finch
Renshaw
Khawaja
Head
5-6 Pick a couple of youngsters

How old do you think Renshaw, Head and Mitch Marsh are? And what makes you think that the 'youngsters' are going to do any better over time?

Surely we are not still considering Mitch Marsh as a young player?

He;s 26, that's not old. I don't think he should necessarily be in the test team (though I'm scratching my head to look around for any real quality regardless of surname) but far out, what's the point in bringing in VERY young players? It's not like any of them are outstanding.

He's 27 dude, and I never said he was old. But he's clearly not a youngster anymore.

I don't think we should be throwing young kids in there just for the sake of it either. I do think it's time to look past Marsh though.

Simon Katich had a crack at his 11 on SEN this morning. I think this was it

Renshaw
Khawaja
Handscomb
S Marsh
Finch
M Marsh/Stoinis
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood
I like this. I think they will almost definitely pick Finch at the top of the order though, unfortunately. I hate to think how Finch will go opening the batting in England during the Ashes next year if he locks his opening spot in.

Only question is the all rounder. Not sure.on Stoinis but I figure Marsh has been a downright failure and will really struggle in England so why not try something new?

True. I’d still rather 6 genuine bats though. Not as if Head can’t bowl

I have come to accept the selectors will pick Mitch no matter what. If it was up to me I just wouldn’t pick an all rounder. Return to the days of batting 6 pure batsmen.

Yeah I'd be happy with a bloke that can bowl a few offies while we are waiting for the new ball.

Agreed not as if Finch couldn’t send a couple of overs down either. Marsh barely bowls anyway

You keep saying this, it's still not true.

Marsh barely bowls anyway and his batting has been poor at test level. Rather just use some part timers if need be- Head, Finch, etc. can both roll their arm over.

I don't dispute that Mitch has been poor for most of his stint, but if they want an all-rounder, you can't just point to Head and Finch. They are not the same. If Starc went down, neither Head or Finch could step up for half a Test and fill his role. You can argue whether it's needed, but not they could do it. As it stands, Mitch was good last year when recalled, is the vice captain and just scored 150; he'll probably play.

Poor is being generous he’s batting in the top 6 averaging 25! Pat Cummins averages more.

I say it again why are we needing an AR again. 4 bowlers worked for 100+ years. Pick 6 bats, a keeper and 4 bowlers. If one of your bats can bowl so be it if not it’s not a big deal

Why are you bothering to give him proper answers, lol.
