Like the shit the Pies served up against Essendon in the 2nd quarter yesterday? Our worst quarter just happened to be the last & mainly on the back of poor kicks on goal & a few defensive howlers.

It’s hard to dominate an entire game in modern footy unless your playing WC. I’ll take 2/4 quarters & 1 breaking even any day.

MJ 27 disposals at 59 percent disposal efficiency. That means he almost gave it to the opposition half the time he touched it. That can cost you games.

Unfortunately not the case. Only 7 contested possessions and also half his positions were handballs which “should” hit the target almost all the time

His decision making and disposal was appalling last night
Was repeatedly put into space by team mates only to panic and handball back into congestion

Last night I was on the edge of my seat whenever he got his hands on the ball. The knot upside is he now gets his hands on the ball more. Let’s hope his game awareness improves

I know Johnno is an easy target now and this board loves having someone to knock but it does become tiresome.
However I concede at least the handball to Sean was poor even if it had hit Sean on the belly button. So that was a poor option as well as poorly executed.
I still think it was a good game from Matthew.

<50 game mid with an inside role struggling at times on knowing when to hold and when to release the ball isn't particularly astonishing. Johnson will be fine.

Nice win in the end, although the last quarter left a bit to be desired. Another big test next week.

We could have kicked another 4 goals in the last quarter it was pretty even your getting your knickers in a knot

He normally has some head scratches where you question what he was thinking. He had more of those moments because he had a lot of the ball. I thought he really lifted in that last qtr and did some nice things. There's definitely a player there somewhere and I'm looking forward to when he meets the man he will be.
