Was passing through this morning with my Dad, so we popped into training, leaving just before the rain hit hard.

Seemed to be 25 players in the squad, with the following happening;

* Rocca was one of the 25, along with the 3 emregencies
* Pendlebury trained on the other oval before the main group, then moved to the main oval before leaving. He trained with McCarthy, Buttifant and Rusling.
* The main training session was fairly intense, windy conditions, with rain towards the end, much cleaner and faster then last Friday's session.

Players who stood out;

*Thomas, trained his guts out, hands on hips at several stages
* Dick, was on the end of some quick play, resulting in shots on goal
* Rocca, first time I've seen him with the Friday group, looked fit, toned
* Leigh Brown, trained well, more down back then forward in full ground activity
* Nathan Brown did some ruckwork with Josh, might be a pre cursor to tommorow.

The sessions was much cleaner and faster, more intense then last Friday, which should be a good sign for tommorrow. Plus they trained in similar conditions to what we might play in.

Only concern is Pendlebury, didnt train with main group, and Beams would come in obviously if he's out. Pendles didnt look restricted, just left before main group with McCarthy and Rusling.

Dave was there, he will have pictures/video later no doubt.

Where where you and why did you not say Hi?

Was standing behind you most of the session, but was with my Dad who has been a bit crook, so didnt want to impose.

What was with Pendles? I'd say a slight injury from last week, looked to be moving ok.

Looked okay might just as the Clubs say General Soreness

Pendles will be fine - It's quite common for players to be given a lighter session if they're feeling a bit sore.

I'd be very surprised to see him miss.

I'm pretty confident that Pendlebury will be play. General soreness occurs in a lot of players and it shouldn't restrict him enough to not allow him to take part in the match against Melbourne.

It's not about risking him, he's sore not injured. It's about whether he can run out a game.

That said I think he'll play.

Looked okay with out doing the Proper Trained well so I can't see why not

I cannot believe some Pie fams are worried that If Pendles does not play we will loose! C'mon if the past 3 years we have proven that we do not rely on 1 player and we are a very even team! If we do happen to loose to Melbourne it will not be due to pendlebury not playing it will be down to us being shit!

I also think he'll play. But if he ain't right we're better off having a look at the bloke in your avatar.

During a contest about 50 out last week he looked to hurt his ankle or something. Spent a bit of time on the turf before getting up and going about his business, so that may be related.

if it was the ankle you'd be confident he'd get up.
