Hey guys and gals,
Every new generation loves to think that they invented sex, rebellion, and bad behavior. Likewise, every person blames the new generation, and thinks that things were so much better when they were younger.
I've recently come across a few quotes which I think are pretty funny/ironic..
This one is from Socrates (~400 BC);
The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.
I also remember reading a quote about leaving conflict in Afghanistan - from the 1800's, which would apply today.
Can you think of any others? If not, have a lovely day.
