Well, only Carracher and Young made the squad IIRC. Young isn't likely to play. Carracher might be played in another game in the carnival, he may well have an injury, or both.

I can't really make an educated guess because I'm just as much in the dark as you are.

what's the overall opinion on monkey jr? i know we're getting updates every week on here, and it's promising that he's getting a game in the TAC, but is he really someone we'll look at drafting? i think someone mentioned a while back that he isn't good enough, but there wasn't much elaboration.

Not 100% sure but here is some info who has:

no, he is not good enough, wont get picked up at all, i went to school with him and have played against him, he is ok but he is very cocky and thinks his better than anyone else, he can fire but will never be good enough for afl.

Could Young play in the last 2 Games in Victoria?

Elijah might be available to play in the U15's National schoolboy carnival which is in Perth in late July. Might have Darcy Moore for competition, but I think he'll be in it next year. Elijah will still be playing for Bateman's Bay U17's in the meantime if fit.

Both Michael Hartley and Adrian Yakimov played for the Sydney Uni U18's on the weekend against UNSW/ES and the team had a win, 10.18.78 to 2.7.19. Yakimov kicked a goal for the students.

Ben Monkhorst kicked a goal for the Eastern Ranges and had 18 possessions, 5 marks. Unfortunately 9 of his 13 kicks were considered ineffective by the statistician.

That's not a flattering statistic at all. I don't recall it being that windy or the rain pouring down on Sunday either.

Some sons are and never will be as good as their father. I don't think we will be looking at Ben unless something dramatic happens in the next 6 months.

Not Very Good and I doubt he will be Drafted

Don't know who can confirm it, but was told by one of the boys who is going to Albury for State Carnival, that Elijah has broken his arm and might be out for the season ... tragic if true, and hoping it's wrong!:(

rd 7 video out now on eastern rangers web site

So he did break his arm?
Hope its nothing like my sons. Something like a plate, 12 screws, 2 rods and they had to break a bone in his elbow to line it up and then wire it together. Worst break the surgeons ever seen. Did it playing in-line roller hokey against adults when he was about 15.

Ouch. Yeah, from what I hear it was a nasty break, and that makes sense if as whiteandred says he's out for the season. Luckily, kids are plastic and heal quickly.

Well actually my sons arm now is near perfect, he just cant straighten it out completely. But that's after 2 years, and I'm sure he'll cop lots of arthritis later on.

Depends on whether the fracture involves the joint. The "Arth" in arthritis actually refers to joints.
