Looking through the Under 16's Vic Metro side and noticed Craig Stewart's son James in the squad (99% sure of the relation). I remember someone highlighting this F/S selection out previously, so he may be one to watch.
Yeah I know James, so should be able to get some sort of update on how he goes.

Here is some info on Jackson Starcevich. Just FYi Hale is coached by Paul Peos.

1st XVIII vs. Scotch
Hale 12.13 (85) d Scotch 7.3 (45)
On a fairly heavy track and a still day, Hale began strongly and dominated possessions and clear‐ ances, but could only manage 2 goals and finish 6 points ahead at the first break. Scotch contin‐ ued their tactic of having numbers behind the ball in the second term and restricted Hale to a 3 goal lead by half time. Sam Fong, Stu Berryman and Adam Birman were all dominant and Luke Shipway controlled the ruck, while Jimmy Rivers was dangerous all over the ground. Jackson Starcevich had bagged 4 goals and Scotch had no answer to his size.
A 4 goal to 3 third term had Hale out to a 4 goal lead, with our boys playing more transition foot‐ ball as the spaces opened up. Scotch kicked the first goal of the final term to give them some slim hope of making a contest, but 2 quick replies from Starcevich helped Hale run out 40 point win‐ ners. Fraser Simcock made a solid debut and chipped in with an important goal. Rhys Waters made a welcome return after illness and was a solid contributor, while Drew Rohde was a very effective forward all day. Lachy Davey was in great marking form and is improving with every game as the season builds to a climax.

on a different but related topic - it is interesting to see that James Stewarts player sponsor at the Sandy Dragons is no other than Nic Theodosis!

James Stewart has seemed to play well in the champs. Was in the best in the last game and does play 1st XVIII footy for Scotch College despite only being in Yr10, so keep an eye out.;)

No.

Out of interest, Sean O'Kennedy was named in the best for the world team, however they still got pumped by >100 points... and he's 18 anyway I think.

hey dave, dont think there was any TAC cup on this weekend.
Ohh Yeah I forgot That:o Silly Me and That makes my Comment totally BS.

Well good to see him in Good Form

Hartley and Perry played for Sydney University on the weekend, Hartley in the U18's was listed as 6th best in a 21-point loss. Perry was in the seniors and was not featured amongst the best in a 53-point win.

The U15's (and U12's) schoolboy National carnival started this weekend in Perth, but while the U12's opening round of results are up, there's nothing up yet for U15's so we'll have to await news of Moore and Haggerty. I'm assuming that Elijah is still out with his arm fracture as it was a pretty severe injury, which would likely see him miss the season.

Will have to correct you Royal, the only games plaed this weekend in Sydney were the U18's....no seniors. Perry was a late call up for GWS who were up against the Geelong Falcons.

Right you are, teeps, I was fooled by the week off when looking at the results. :o

Perry, FWIW, was not amongst the listed best players or goalkickers in a bit of a rout by Geelong Falcons.

This is Sad to Hear. Anything long term we have to worry about or will he back 100% showing us why he will be a Gun in a few years for us

I don't know.

Rounds 2 and 3 of the U15's National Champs have been completed with Darcy Moore putting his hand up for... well... awesomeness.

Top scorer with 4 goals and listed in the best in Round 2. :thumbsu:

No mention of Haggerty this time, which makes you wonder if he played in the latter two rounds, but Lloyd Perris was conspicuous which will make whiteandred happy. ;)

Good to See Darcy Kick a Bag of Goals:thumbsu: But nothing about him in RD 1 and 3?
