Fog had a good third quarter as well. A bit quiet in the last but still a couple of critical things. Big game to stand up in and he was very good

Jeez their midfield is bloody scary though. JHF still just scratching the surface - they look so dangerous all the time. Fortunately they have zero X factor up forward (Rioli a bit) and so that takes the edge off the middle

They have absolutely no idea about our list, some of the takes on their board are god awful. You'd think after being done over 4 of the last 5 showdowns they would realise we have more than a bunch of SANFL seconds running around...

Well to be fair, it did hold up if his game plan relies on the opposition missing chance after chance and that we lose ever major game controlling statistic aside from turn overs.
There is a lot of evidence this year, its close to describing his game plan perfectly.

Not the worst but nothing to write home about. They had 57 scoring shots, scoring 23 times. Thats almost scoring 40% of the time they went in. We had an amazing 18 scoring shots from 47 inside 50s at 38%. Statistically they had a better defence as well.
Look, make no mistake, it was by far our best game for a long time and I loved the win and I enjoyed watching the game. But its not a good enough performance to beat a side at the top of their game.

Fog did alright. Himmelberg took a tall off of him and it helped him find some room on smaller players. But considering he had more space, did he do enough to maximise that?

I think he was exceptional at times. Really stood up.

If they scored at basically the same % rate as us, yet had a much worse scoring conversion, does that not mean our defence stifled them at a much more effective rate?
no it means they had an off night kicking for goal. lol.

Still buzzing after that performance now at work the next morning. The weekend hasn’t even started yet and it’s a good one. Can’t wait to watch some great games this week knowing our showdown is already in the bag
