Surely the game would be over by the time they actually take the stage?
Don’t think so - Pistols due on stage at 9.10 and I’ve prime standing tickets so getting there early for a good spot.

Didn’t they beat us by 80 points last year?
There is a bit of misreading going on.

It is a winnable game. It is still a significant hurdle against a team that knows how to punch and is going to come out with a need to win the game.

Going in with zero expectations, just want to see us pressure the man and the ball. And to lead hard to create options.

If it leads us to a win happy days.

It’s opportunity, we’ve yet to prove we’re great at seizing them yet.

I’m foregoing this match for a date with the Sex Pistols (they’re playing within gobbing distance of Marvel).

I have a feeling that things are going to click tonight.
Who’s lining up for em?

Matlock's everywhere tonight! Hopefully they both go well.

Frank Carter is as good as a modern day Lydon as there is, so wishing it's a great show for you tonight bs... & you get some even better news from Marvel on your way out.

DuckYeah: Cook & Jones make up the other 2 in the starting centre square.

In totally unrelated news, I may park a little further away from Festering Hall than I usually do tonight!

North vs Sydney...the first and only (so far) North game i saw (with my father) in person (in LA in 2006) when North Played Sydney there...
Last time I went to a final we won was against the Swans.

...

A decade ago.

Let’s celebrate the end of the 3 weeks too long Day Light Savings with a 5 point win

With the lost hour of sunlight that will represent a 4.16% reduction in rooftop solar generation by my calculation, so that creates an immediate increase in the reliance of fossil fuels.

Really ? Jesus........that's horrible. But....
time for a change.

Anyone remember the game where Adam Goodes had Andrew Swallows head squashed between his thighs in a fwd.pocket and the umpire paid a free kick to Goodes for h.t.b. Still irks me.
. Swans trainers taking up space on our kickouts.
. 19 men on the field.
. Interchange infringement ( too fresh )

Your time is now North. Make the statement.

The seemingly improved mighty Kangas take on an injury hit Swans on our home ground

A very good opportunity for us to win against a quality team we've come close to in recent years.

Good luck Matt Whitlock on his debut for the club!!

Get to the game if you can and let's put the heat on.

Let's start proving we're taking the next step.....

North by 10 points.
This is what gives me hope. 1. We are playing better and 2. We have run them close a few times at Marvel.

Really ? Jesus........

I was at that game.

It’s incredible what happened during and after.

We started 2007 with 3 straight losses and looked like our club was going to be shipped off to the Gold Coast. Remembering we’d finished 3rd last in 2006 and lost Thompson to an acl on the eve of the 2007 season.

We then won our next 6, the 3rd of those wins being against the swans.

I was off my face and enjoyed it HARD.

And from then it’s been nothing but heartache against the swans at marvel. I think it was the next game in 08 that was a draw, Azz broke his leg and they had an extra man in the ground.

There was the game JZ kicked 5, Maj kicked 4 on Alir Alir and we were in a last qrt winning position but lost with alir running off maj to kick the winner.

And then finally the interchange infringement game that just about broke me. As I left the ground I tried to get into a fight with any swans supporter I could find but thankfully my wife told me to pull my head in. Not something I’m proud of.

Have never been more confident than I am us taking on Sydney under the lid. I feel our best footy will be under the roof. Outside we're about as comfortable as a albino at the beach on 35 degree day. But that will come with further experience.

Anyways as of now, I hope Xerri gets up of course, but I didn't mind Teakles game in the VFL last week, I think he is physical enough to make life difficult for Grundy. And that's about as much as you could expect from a back up ruck.

Konstanty - massive point to prove, was never getting a game after the incident, I'm positive if he had his time again he'd do things differently. Horse didn't like him and was never selecting him, I'm sure all our boys know the story.
We normally get limited journeymen from other clubs, but not this time.
Played 23 games for Sydney VFL averaged 20 disposals, 4 .5 tackles 3 marks and kicked 24.20

Parker - will just go about his business, at days end Parkers playing for us tonight and them, he'd get a game with Sydney fwiw.

I think we will take control in the middle and have too many options up forward, and if I was a betting man , I'd be backing in KOnstanty to take down Blakey as tries to gallop off. He's done that well against us for years, won't be expecting to be challenged.

North 35 plus.

The line-up is three originals - Steve Jones (guitar), Paul Cook (drums) and Glen Matlock (the actual bass player who wrote a lot of Never Mind the Bollocks not the pretender who replaced him) with Frank Carter from Gallows on vocals.

Lydon has become more campaignerish as he's got older and joined the MAGA crew and doesn't want anything to do with the Pistols - he's become a sad old man.

I'm pumped about tonight - the shows with Frank Carter have been awesome from what I've seen heard.

I saw Lydon with PiL on the Have a Rotten Christmas tour in 1984 - he a very engaging performer back then.

I saw Glen Matlock play bass with Johnny Thunders in the late 1980s.

I'm yet to see Jones and Cook but the Steve Jones guitar sound is one of my all time favourite guitar sounds and I can't wait to hear/feel that wall of sound wash over me tonight.
