It's hard to see us winning a shootout vs Port. Their midfield, forward line and general skills are first class. Without McVeigh and maybe Slatts we can't really do much locking down though.

Just give it everything Bombers!

Be good to see how Ryder goes in the ruck.

I say mainly play jetta (speed), Watson (clearance gun), Hislop (in and under) and houli (develop into in and under) in the centre bounces. Stanton and Dyson on the wings. Atkinson on Motlop. Rotate Myers through the midfield and defence. Daniher should play fp. Lloyd must stay in the goal square and lead out. McPhee should lead to the wings. Neagle should lead out from chf/fp. Welsh should play a defencive role on P.Burgoyne. Lovett on the wings and a small forward. Ryder on Lade. Obviously Mal on Tredrea. Nash on Ebert. Kornes will tag Watson. Don't know what to do with Johns.

We can't afford to lose by a massive margin here, even despite the injuries.

Sh*t will hit the fan this week at the club if we get blown away here and don't show anything.

Anymore than it has?

WE should put a better showing at the Dome. But hey, stranger things have happened in footy. If Port go in assuming they will win, and play a shocker like they can, who knows.

Well, I am going to get ready and head in for a pre game beer.

Lets go Bombers, Lets go! :thumbsu:

That's the only thing I didn't like about the team, Pears not being in it.

Very happy to see him in, and i can't wait to see the game, it's going to be very exciting watching our future play out there today.

I might add that it's not confirmed, just likely. Pears was my guess, but the most logical one.

it's the best ____ing side we have had on paper for along time! with injured players coming back, ____ing hell we should back in top 8 soon! we are gonna flog Port ________s with sheer skill and new pace found! Jay Neagle to kick 6 goals! and Loyd to kick 6 like Franklin and RoughHead!:thumbsu:

He could, but he'd look like a 40yo virgin gate crashing a teens party if he played today ;)

Continue the with the youth, stuff JJ.
This perception is so new in football, I dont think people quite understand it. It is all well and good to play young guys, but these days, if you are 29 or older, people suddenly think their career is over. Imagine what St. Kilda would look like now if they did the same to Harvey as we are doing to JJ. Do you think Dalsanto, Hayes, Montagna and Ball would be half as good? We are always complaining about our lack of in and under players. We have a good exponent of this in JJ. He should be in the team just to show the young guys how to go about their jobs. Developing young players isnt just about them playing, its also about learning. How can they learn from a guy who isnt deemed good enough to get a game?
