Games experience against the Bombers

Take out Fletcher and there is your difference.

Would have been nice to beat them if Watson and Hocking played. I think we would have, but then atleast it would shut the bombers fans up, they unfortunately have a point.

Edit: In saying that it would have been nice if we had Edwards, Moore and Grimes for a full match too.

Congratulations to Richmond on a well deserved win, the Tigers were 100% committed on Saturday and the skill levels have gone through the roof in the past month.

Who gives a stuff really. Our club is finally getting things right both on and off the field and the opposition is pretending it ain't happening. Well it is and it's one of the reasons why the crowd roar at richmond games this year has doubled in decibels. There's a generation lost in terms of success and those of us fortunate enough and old enough to remember how great this club once was are now champing at the bit knowing how good this club is going to be in a couple of years. A bit more good recruiting and we'll be laughing at all these supporters still caning us today. They all laughed when gale announced the targets. 75,000 members (up to 50k without really trying), finals, top 4, premiership by 2015 etc. It aint such a pipedream after all. The planets are aligning beautifully so far thanks!!!

The classic one from Essendon supporters is "how could we lose to a team like Richmond?"
Last time I looked ,we have won 5 out of the last 7 games.

Once Watson was out I knew we had a good chance, because for all the retoric about their list they rely hugely on Watson, Hille and Fletcher. As it turned out the omission of Watson and Hocking may not have made that much difference because they are both clearance players and they killed us in the clearances anyway. Although Stanton may not have been picked if they were available, which would have hurt our chances.

LOL exactly what I was thinking! Why can't they just cop the defeat on the chin and move on?

Blaming losses on injuries or umpires is a weak excuse. The simple fact is that all teams experience their fair share of injuries or bad umpiring decisions.

Some people should just suck it up and accept they were beaten by a better team on the day.
