Well at 0-3 we can put a line through finals. So that’s 2 years running after 2 straight sets exits. It’s fairly accurate to say our best chance was in 2023, however the QF was the infamous Brayshaw incident coupled with about 50 inside 50’s to 7 goals. I view that as the biggest missed opportunity.

The run is over now and the well is dry. It’s probably not to dissimilar to any good team coming to the end of an era, however the issue is that our key players are actually in their prime;

Oliver
Pickett
Fritsch

We have veterans in May and Gawn that are in the twilight years. It’s hard. The issue with Petracca will continue to exist now that he is playing for a losing team and is likely going to be for a while. Whether he will tolerate that I don’t know. I think Oliver needs to go. He’ll be happier and better at a different club, dare I say, Geelong. You just know Mackie will be organising coffee and scones very soon. Particularly with Guthrie likely done and Dangerfield almost done.

I think Goodwin needs to call it now. He isn’t making inroads with this club and they look absolutely shot. New gameplan, updated list, new coaching panel. Just rebuild a bit and start looking to the future now before Tasmania raid the cabinet.

Oliver and petracca will go at the end of the year.

I don't think either will get as much as last year. Can't see him at the cats next year, though. I think he needs a young emerging midfield around him. Id say north is the best fit for him. Id think if they get a duursma back, they take it and pay half he's wage.

Petracca can't get to the pies, they have no youth to give or first round picks. Id think he fits Carltons list best, they need a centre fwd mid. Id think they should ask for jagga Smith, I don't think theyll get multiple firsts for him now.

Pickett goes now, I reckon I'd be saying straight swap for Murphy reid.

Fritsch will go and you'll get a 2nd or late first.

Not sure what they'd get for Salem, but maybe trade for a ruck like noble from gold coast, where he plays a minimum 8 games a year to give Max a rest and keep him fresh.

Their last 2 weeks their midfield has been completely blown away and its how they've lost that's the problem.

Goodwin goes too this week. Id have cam Bruce as earmarked for the next coach. Id have Simpson in richos role.

I reckon if they are proactive with trades anew coach they can bounce up quickly

6 players isn't enough. There is nothing between 23 and 28 years old. It's a big hole.
Worse if Pickett goes.
It's full blown re build I'm afraid. You need more than those blokes you named coming up. And you need some foot soldiers as well
