Yes please. Do not want him at the Cats. We have enough turnover merchants, but at least they are quick linebreakers.Nah we'll take him down at Tigerland.

I’m happy seeing Goodwin coach the Demons for the next 10 seasons.New coach required.
A new coach will get something from Oliver.
Trade Oliver, he clearly doesn’t want to be there.
I hear you, but we were certainly ok with him last year it seems and we desperately need a strong clearance player like him moving forward if we are going to win a flag in next few years IMO.He's cooked on field and would not go near given his off field concerns.

There's only so many shit kicks of the footy you can hide in your side in todays gameI hear you, but we were certainly ok with him last year it seems and we desperately need a strong clearance player like him moving forward if we are going to win a flag in next few years IMO.
A heavily performance based contract could be the answer maybe, but I genuinely feel a new environment could help him recapture close to his best. Clearly, you don't agree and have completely written him off, but don't forget that he is a 4 time B&F winner who is still only 27.
Yep. He's nowhere near our first choice I'm sure. There's only so many shit kicks of the footy you can hide in your side in todays game
That's literally one of the dumbest takes I've ever read.Is Max Gawn any good?
I know individually he's a gun ruckman. Lots of Hitouts, plenty of down the line Contested Marks and that shit.
But I tend to feel his overall impact is a bit overrated.
It just defies logic that they've had Oliver, Viney and Petracca for the best part of a decade - and aside from one year they've been kind of average.
And let's be frank - moving Gawn out of the ruck that night pretty much won them the flag.
I'm not a Gawn hater. He's clearly a good player - but I would absolutely pick Xerri, that bloke from Hawthorn and TDK (before he got hurt) over Gawn. They all seem to influence the result more than him IMO.
So that's a Yes from you? That's literally one of the dumbest takes I've ever read.
You say that taking him out of the ruck won us a flag while ignoring that in the same year he kicked a goal after the siren against Geelong to make us minor premiers and booted 5 goals in the preliminary final just few weeks later.
And it's completely delusional to suggest that TDK influences games more than him considering that you're basically using team success as a measure of impact. His team has mostly been shit outside of one good patch at the end of 2023. I dare you to name one game where TDK was more destructive than Gawn at his best.
Wow! Just wow! This is quite possibly the worst take I've ever read on here. And that's saying something. Just wowIs Max Gawn any good?

I literally spit out my tea when I read that TDK is more influential than GawnWow! Just wow! This is quite possibly the worst take I've ever read on here. And that's saying something. Just wow
He'd pick "that bloke from Hawthorn" over Gawn lolI literally spit out my tea when I read that TDK is more influential than Gawn
In round 9 Gawn made mince meat of Meek. Even Hawthorn posters on their board said they hadn't seen him dominated like he was against Gawn.Is Max Gawn any good?

It beggars belief that a post like that would even be written. It's ok to have an opinion. Fine. But to say the greatest ruckman of our generation, his overall impact is overrated is quite astonishing. You have to wonder if this poster even watches Dees games at all. I'd say clearly not. Probably doesn't like Gawn for whatever reason and came up with this. Astonishing. The contested marking alone would have him first picked let alone being top 10 in score involvements and then hit outs.In round 9 Gawn made mince meat of Meek. Even Hawthorn posters on their board said they hadn't seen him dominated like he was against Gawn.
Gawn's taken more contested marks than Xerri has had general marks. Plus more disposals, hitouts, contested possessions, score involvement and intercepts.
Gawn is top 10 in the competition for score involvements, while Xerri is equal 111.
Last time I checked, being involved in scoring chains are the most valuable disposals of all and the best measure of ''over-all impact''.
Dreadful take. But without posts like yours it's hard to recognise good ones.
Dumbest thing I've ever read on here, and it's big footy so that's amazingIs Max Gawn any good?

Petracca is a shell of his former-self right now.
Watching Oliver & Petracca's demise is disappointing to see. Both in the prime of their footballing lives. They are playing as if they are 33-35 year old's.
Im sure some fresh cow shit under his fingernails and some crisp Cotton On shirts could rejuvenate Clarry?Petracca is a shell of his former-self right now.

**** Clarry, I’ll take that dealIm sure some fresh cow shit under his fingernails and some crisp Cotton On shirts could rejuvenate Clarry?
Cheese and wine provided?Board meeting today apparently.
Stay tuned….
Cheese, wine, discussions about Scotch College alumni, who has booked the Hotham chalet this week, the condition of the powder on the black runs, frustrations at grandfathering negative gearing, the conspiracy against Amelia Hamer not being elected, and, THEN!Cheese and wine provided?
summed it up...Is it time?
It was time last year, now I'm not so sure other clubs would be interested or that the Dees would receive anything in return.
