Centre clearances could decide this. We need the rucks to control the air and set us up

Without Stewart I’m not sure Geelong will generate many goals from the back half

Huge week for the defence as well but we match up pretty well against them

Selection is fascinating.

Risk. Curveball selection. Tunstill.

I think it’d be far easier if we hadn’t run out of depth, so the ordinary arguments of never taking a risk going into a GF don’t apply IMO. I can’t think of another team that would have made it this far in the season with the draw we’ve had relying on so many teenagers and YOUF.

It’s nothing against Tunstill or our other players, it’s just how young can we get. How inexperienced can we get.

Lachie plays imo. No option with Bez’s injury.

I’d have Bruce on ground over Marshall too.

Cam winning the granny after the siren would be good for football. Maybe not our hearts, but good for football.

Do you not know the average age of a bf poster? Or do you know and you wish for an ending that could end us all?

Just like the Lions this board relies on a mix of old and young. Your suggested ending would leave the young posting willy nilly without the wisdom of older heads to help them find the way.

Tonight was a good heart muscle workout but next week I'm all for a repeat of last year gf thanks.

We’ve made it and given ourselves a chance, can’t ask much more than that. It’ll take a massive turn around on three weeks ago and they are so fresh compared to us being absolutely banged up but what’s one more hardship in a season like this?

Last year was a fairy tale, this year could become the greatest overcoming of odds in the history of football. Every week seems to have had a setback and yet here we are. No matter what happens, what a team we support.

We just need to go with them, want it more than they do and get in the grind. If we do that, we win it, we just have to weather their inevitable surges. Hit them hard and often, make them feel every tackle.

If Berry and Neale play we won't win. No way Neale will be ready. They are looking at a romantic storyline than a sensible one. Neale wasn't fit against the cats and was a liability. Berry is a liability with his shoulder. The club is nuts if they play them

Hyperbaric chambers are used to heal diabetic ulcers - wounds that haven't healed with normal wound management. The results are pretty amazing.

Given that elite athletes are naturally quick at healing/ recovering and lachie is spending hours every day in one he may actually be fully fit.

In a post game interview he said he did over 7k in speed work today to test it out and there were no problems.

Will be doing normal training this week. They will know if he is good to go.

Browney said the club used to have a hyperbaric chamber that they all used. Wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of players used one this week based on lachies results. . No stone left unturned and all that.

Its genuinely scary for the comp that we're here again with the injuries and draw we've had.

Add to that the fact that you'd expect to get Coleman, Answerth, Linc, Payne, Hipwood all back early next year and throw in Draper, Allen and Ridley on top...

Even if we lose Starce and Ah Chee, we're genuinely in a position where we should be in contention again for at least the next 2-3 years. Look forward to the usual complaints of equality, father/sons etc... How quick people forget that we were a genuine rabble for a decade.

As for tonight's game, was there, voice is absolutely hoarse but absolutely worth it to give it to the ferals.

And Gallop is going to be a genuine gun. Hes already no worse than Eric and hes a 19yo who's played 5 games. Probably got more muscle on him than Eric too.

Neale for Bez would be my only change. Possibly swap Marshall to sub instead of Bruce.

So many similarities to the 2003 finals series...
We already used up our belting win Grand Final and loss Grand Final.

So it's either a tight one where we pull away or right down to the wire. First option please.

Before the Pies game I could have been convinced to back Lachie in if the Lions made it to the GF but after watching Pendles go down so quickly not so sure now. Carrying him, Howe and Mihochek is what ultimately cost the Pies any chance.

So very reluctantly no Berry or Neale. Tunstill to sub and Reville for Berry. Marshall hasn't put a foot wrong so if Neale gets selected then Reville's value to all over the ground means staying as sub for mine.

No unnecessary changes and go with what has worked to get them to the GF.

Highly suspect on Berry's shoulder. We've seen players dislocate and play out a game, but to be subbed out so quickly says to me they know there are underlying issues that are not going to be fixed quickly.
I would not bring in Neale, when he got the six week diagnosis hyperbaric chambers and the like weren't a foreign concept to our medical staff. An underdone Neale is going to get cut up on the defensive end by the Cats runners.
In my opinion, it's time to stretch our depth for the last time this year, Reville to start on a wing with Tunstill as sub.

Would we go back to Lester onto Jezza to start? He got completely outplayed in that first quarter in that first final, but you wouldn’t expect him to be that bad again. Had played well on him before that game though.

Dizz did well when he moved on him in comparison but I think he might be a decent match up when Danger plays forward. Only slight concern I have with that is Danger flopping around the place and Dizz being a bit unco at times, could lead to some free kicks if it sucks the umpires in.

Well getting into the grand final is so much better going down to Melbourne.
Flying down Thursday morning so thinking of going to Fitzroy for a traditional Lions counter lunch.
Any suggestions for a great pub would be appreciated .
Maybe if we don’t get tickets for the big game we could maybe go to one of the pubs but here’s hoping we get tickets

What ever the ins or outs, Reville has to stay in.
He is so composed and a great kick.
Then Marshal on the other wing as he will work all day
For mind Berry should not play unfortunately.
It’s going to be brutal so way too risky.
No idea regarding Lockie with his calf
Can we afford that risk as well .
If he’s fit and healthy then ?
