Was really impressed with Marshals game, particularly in the 1st half. He is going to be a gun on the wing for a long time.
He never panics and always seems to have time. Reminds me of a certain other #20 in that way.

Highly suspect on Berry's shoulder. We've seen players dislocate and play out a game, but to be subbed out so quickly says to me they know there are underlying issues that are not going to be fixed quickly.
I would not bring in Neale, when he got the six week diagnosis hyperbaric chambers and the like weren't a foreign concept to our medical staff. An underdone Neale is going to get cut up on the defensive end by the Cats runners.
In my opinion, it's time to stretch our depth for the last time this year, Reville to start on a wing with Tunstill as sub.
I agree but I would play McKenna ahead of Tunstill

Can't take any chances with Neale & Berry.
Have Bruce and Marshall on the wings.
And bring in Dev Robertson as sub.
Geelong are a tough, blue collar team and Dev brings inside grunt and tackling intensity. He's also one of those players that can be put into a side after a long hiatus and still perform. He's proven in finals also.

If Neale is in n Bez is out I don't think we can push Levi back to a wing. Dempsey cut him up last time so I would go Jasper n Marshall as our wings with Jasper specifically for Dempsey. Marshall looks very promising. Last few games he starts fantastic then disappears somewhat in the 2nd half. Experience will make him a real weapon.

So many similarities to the 2003 finals series...
QF/GF rematch after losing the QF.

Beat the Pies.

PF was close before we put it to bed in the last and won going away.

Adelaide went home in the second week.

Essendon won a final.

Would we go back to Lester onto Jezza to start? He got completely outplayed in that first quarter in that first final, but you wouldn’t expect him to be that bad again. Had played well on him before that game though.

Dizz did well when he moved on him in comparison but I think he might be a decent match up when Danger plays forward. Only slight concern I have with that is Danger flopping around the place and Dizz being a bit unco at times, could lead to some free kicks if it sucks the umpires in.
Lester was one of the few lions players sick. He was coughing and spluttering before the first bounce.

Reckon Lachie will play. If he does though, I hope they don’t try any of the cute bullshit they tried in the quali. He’s fit enough to start in the middle or he doesn’t play at all.

Bez seemed pretty keen to give him it a go next week as well. Looks like so many sore boys out there and I’m worried about taking too many in. We saw what happened with Sydney taking McDonald in not fit last year.
Remember 2003 half the side were on painkillers

Cats to win big according to Matthew Lloyd. Geelong are the complete team 😂

Thank you Mr Lloyd. We thought we’d lost you with all the positive commentary this year, but in our hour of need you return.

Hoping someone might be able to help. I registered for the GF ballot last week and used a credit card to pay the $6 fee. Is that the card that will be charged automatically for the ballot? I can't see anywhere on my Ticketek account where the card is saved. Don't want to mess this up obviously...

Yes. The purpose of taking the $6 is a scam but it’ll charge that same card.

Just back on Reville.
If Matherson was the barometer is Reville the thermometer.
When we are playing too hot he has a moment and cools our jets
Or is he the radiator
He's the thermometer.

The opposition doesn't like it when he's inserted.

You know what we could do is start Lachie and tell him to just be a missile - go into the guts and skittle Geelong players for as long as he can, just put fear into them as long as he can and then sub him for Reville. Let WAshcroft and Rayner be the bulls winning the ball.

I don’t think Lachie is as underdone as what people here think. There was a lot of stuff he was doing yesterday at a special fitness test and the running he’s been doing all week (off camera) and pressure testing on the calf. Basically from my source the type of testing he was doing was to see if the calf blew up. It hasn’t … I say he plays and will be around 90% fit.
Berry is the big question mark. Did they cotton wool him thinking he could play or was it too busted. We will find out.

2022.
Melbourne, our absolute bogey team demolished us at the Gabba in the final round by 58 points.

2 weeks later, we beat them by 13 points at the G.

Trust in the Fagan and co coaching process for this one!
