Well our inspirational captain Ninty has moved on and retired from the SFA and BigFooty, great career mate, and its a shame to see you go. We will make sure to beat the Hawks in your farewell game and give you the perfect send-off.

Peterss and I have discussed what will be different around here now Ninty is gone and I can reveal that one of the DVC's will be promoted to vice-captain and one of our other players will take a place in the leadership group...more will be revealed by peterss later.

GO GUMBIES!! GG10!! :thumbsu:

CLUB ANNOUNCMENT

After the shock announcment of former club captain retiring from the club and the SFA in general, Vice captains Perth Swans and peterss instantly called each other to organise a meeting over coffee to discuss where to go from here.

The meeting bought up a few points that the current squad should be aware of.

They are:

*Ninty will be given a farewell game this weekend against the Hawks - He definately deserves it so lets lift big time and get a win on the board and send Ninty off in style.

*Obviously the leadership group has changed a bit....Heres how itll look until atleast the end of the season.

Captain - Peterss
Vice Captains - Perth Swans and RoJo Jnr

The DVC title has been scrapped but there are 3 other players in the leadership group and they are

Diablo14
winty
ShaunDuggan

So basically RoJo promoted from DVC to VC - He deserves it and has been great for our side both on and off the field.

winty added into the leadership group - Hes respected both on and off the field not only by his fellow gumbies but also by others in the SFA.

Diablo stays in the leadership group simply because hes an ex captain and a club legend whose still going strong.

ShaunDuggan is the young blood added to the group - Both Perth Swans and myself have been impressed with his efforts on and off the field this season and he has been rewarded for it - Has committed for the next 2 seasons at the Gumbies for those who didnt know either.....There were a few others who were just as good a candidate as ShaunDuggan to be in the leadership group but obviously not everyone can be in there so keep posting well and playing well as your all still a vital part of this side and Perth Swans and myself hereby dedicate the rest of the season to Ninty - A true legend of our club and the SFA.

*It was also decided that Perth Swans will still name a few teams this season and be the game day captain on those rounds where he names the team - What rounds he does has yet to be decided but will be announced in due course.

Stay tuned for a few more minor announcments etc over the next few days.

Didn't see any of this coming. He didn't want to comment but something must've happened between Ninty and a certain mod I'm assuming.

Delighted to be promoted to the VC role. Peterss is a great choice as captain, an inspiration to the club, gathering numbers, ensuring everyone's happy and keeping people active. He's the heart and soul of this Gumby club. :thumbsu:

Shocked me to the core this has!

Captain Ninty, you will be sorely missed.

Wow, thanks for adding me to the leadership group guys. I'm quite chuffed about it and I will not let you guys down ;) Would have been nicer for this to have happened under better circumstances but i'm sure as a team we will take this bump on move onwards towards a preimership tilt in the finals. Get behind our Captains guys and lets get a win for Ninty this week.

Damn unlucky there Gumbies....Was a fantastic game though....Thought we had them for a minute there when the Hawks had 2 shots on goal both touched over the line late on when we were infront.....Then just as the sirens about to blow anti. steps up on the big stage and seals it for the Hawks.

From a Gumbies perspective it was dissapointing to lose at home in a MOTR and the fact we couldnt get the win on the board for Ninty in his last game...RiT with another quality game once again and his odds for the Mobb medal firm yet again...Perth Swans gets moved to the ruck and finished the game with good stats which is good for us as hes been a bit inconsistent this season...Buckets and Marklar both with good service rotating through the wing and flanks....Another solid game by myself aswell...RoJo was quite though.

Fantastic game by both sides though and it definately lived up to the MOTR title....Will go close to being Match of the season if you ask me.

We have however lost 2 in a row now.....And have lost top spot on the table....Need to get back on the winners list next week lads so that we stay in contention for top spot and no team never wants to go into a form slump. I have total faith in our side that we can get a win on the board next week and end our mini slump.

GO GUMBIES!!! :thumbsu:
GG10!!! :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Time to get back on the winners list boys! we didn't play a terrible game but obviously it wasn't quite good enough. Lets bounce back big this week and demolish our next opponents!

Carn the Gumbies!!
