RFC sacked Dimma? I'd heard rumours

Best to carry on in life until you come to a fork in the road, then take it. 😁

I always do the gentlemanly thing and allow my exes to say they dumped me. There again, they always dump me. 🤣

I don’t think it is too hard to work out the sequence that landed the man called Damien at KMart Swinburne. 😉

The fact every other club in the league has finished in the bottom 4 at some point since 2010 is a good illustration of how consistently good we've been over a long period of time.

The last time every other club finished in the bottom 4:

  • Adelaide: 2021
  • Brisbane: 2018
  • Carlton: 2019
  • Collingwood: 2021
  • Essendon: 2022
  • Fremantle: 2016
  • Gold Coast: 2021
  • GWS: 2022
  • Hawthorn: 2020
  • Melbourne: 2019
  • North Melbourne: 2022
  • Port Adelaide: 2011

North Melbourne, West Coast and the disappointing Hawthorn are cemented bottom 4 in 2023 regardless of results this round. Gold Coast and Freo are fighting it out for the last spot in the hall of shame for this season.

Finals is a capitalist construct to appease schoolyard children and adults with substance abuse issues. It's to make the spectacle more climatic for the low functioning fans but moreso for the clubs coffers. Since when did 3 to 4 games prove more than 22 to 24 games? "SiNcE iT wUz FiNeLz?"

Those finals statistics don't count for s**t really. At least nothing compared to what you believe. In bigger sports minor premiers are premiers. Every year somebody wins a premiership. Winning 21 games is a far rarer achievement. So is finishing top 4 10 years in a row. It's rarer & harder so do the math. Who gives a s**t about the spectacle side of it.

Why is the big shiny cup a better achievement than an actual rarer achievement? Someone has to win one every year. I suggest you change club to North if winning means nothing to you. See how you feel after a year with 4-5 wins.
Reassuring to know Collingwood are the real premiers of 2023 regardless of what happens from here

Meaningless thread …….. premierships since 1986 is what really matters!
You've gotta be in it yo win it, great work by Hawks.

In that time frame :

Hawthorn - 9 gf for 7 flags
Geelong - 10 gf for 4 flags
West Coast - 7 gf for 4 flags
Sydney - 7 gf for 2 flags
Collingwood 6gf for 2 flags
Brisbane - 4 for 3
Richmond - 3 for 3
Carlton - 4 for 2
North - 3 for 2
Essendon - 3 for 2
Adelaide - 3 for 2
Melbourne - 3 for 1
Port - 2 for 1
Bulldogs - 2 for 1
St Kilda - 3 for 0
Fremantle - 1 for 0
GWS - 1 for 0

Hawthorn being bad is never upsetting.
If we’re talking 1986, it takes a very special effort to lose by 135 points after trailing by only 3 points at half time.

A kind, caring kind soul has captured these memories for posterity, so that you can relive them. I know you’ll enjoy them 😉.
