Geelong rorting the system

I don’t know. I know he abused the shit out of some players from a football team in a lower level competition he had no business talking to in his capacity as an afl coach.
This thread is about Geelong rorts. Stay on topic please.
A grown man bringing a young girl to tears is not cool bro.

Bro.

Nice never been to South America but I spent 4 months living in Vietnam a few years back and really enjoyed it.
I lived in Singapore for 5 years, seen enough of Asia for 10 lifetimes.

I'm done with Europe might ski in France again, one day. Might also head to Hungary or further east but unlikely.

I've actually been to Colombia 18x since 2018 (my daughter was born there), no interest in Brazil but the rest is cool. If you do go, put equivalent of $20 in your pocket + 1 card and your hotel key. That's more than enough, except in Chile which somewhat surprisingly, is quite expensive.

I lived in Poland for a little while back. Wouldn't want to be there now because its not far from the Belarus border but I really enjoyed it at the time. I like France a lot, Spain too.

Another seed sown. Soon we'll have the entire comp under our control.

Windsor and Langford for a 3rd rounder we weren't using anyway. Lock it in Eddie.
New rort unlocked?

I know this isn’t a pointed shot at us and just pointing out circumstances.
But what is with this sufficient exposure shit? Aside from crowd size which I guess MIGHT overawe some of the mentally weaker players who don’t get exposure there, most grounds are reasonably similar dimensions to the MCG anyway aside from probably Adelaide, and we have a good record at every ground in the comp. Perth is our worst venue along with the Showgrounds currently since Scott took over and we have a 6-6 win loss record there. And and an 2-2-1 record at the Showground (we are 2-1 at Manuka during that time against the Giants). Even the SCG during that time, a period in which the Swans have been the next most consistently good side, we have a winning record.
At Adelaide we are 14-9. At Carrara we are 8-4. If you’ve played somewhere a couple of times, at the professional level, that should be enough. If the Giants can keep coming to KP once every year or two and smacking us, why does every other team need to be familiar with a ground to have an advantage there!

If you want an outlier for us I guess you can go to Darwin where we lost our only game to the Suns last year. I don’t blame that on familiarity. We got absolutely f**ken hammered. I blame it on us being shit and the Suns playing out their arse.
So imagine if you play somewhere 5x a year every year in addition to your own ground 8x a year.

2 home grounds????

Imagine being paid to train 9 months a year to kick a football in front of thousands of people and thinking that us playing 5 times at the MCG this year gave us some sort of material advantage over the say, the Lions who played there 3 times this year before last Friday.

Do you really think that when Dempsey volleyed that goal through from Dangerfield’s kick to the square he turned around and went ‘thank God for that home game against Hawthorn at Easter!’

Why not? We do when big melbourne teams play finals interstate.
Because those finals were earnt by clubs interstate.
Victoria has a 100k seat stadium, cant lock out 60k members to play it an hour away.

Unfortunately 8th will now host 2nd and probably end your season too.

When was the last time the lowest ranked finalist knocked off 1st and 2nd?

So we are living in fantasy world I see and just making crap up.

Playing richmond and hawthorn and collingwood at the mcg in our home games is one of the most disgraceful disadvantages in world sport. It would be an unjust disadvantage if it was played in a neutral ground like the scg but to play it at your home den in front of all your rabid supporters booing our players non stop when you are the away team is a disgrace. Cant find equivalent examples in professional world sport. Under a fair scenario geelong should have 6 flags in the last twenty years

Playing home games at a ground in your home city is literally what every other club gets. Including yours. Geelong just gets less of it. To try and argue our disadvantage is an advantage is flat earth thinking.

Wont respond to the rest of the made up fantasy nonsense, which is just a cognitive dissonance coping mechanism to deal with the fact your club is inferior. Its MAGA level thinking refinforced by social media warriors who are all suffering the same cognitive dissonance inferiority problem.

The irony is your club used to complain about playing a home game at docklands which is literally still in your home city. You can walk from the mcg to docklands. And you guys thought that was an abhorrent unjustice. The hyporicsy is staggering.
Yeah, but you cant lock 60k fans out.

Its something non Melbourne teams just have to accept in Vic finals and on GF day.

So 'neutrals' are we on the Hawks or Cats for Prelim week? The two 21st century powerhouses going at it again while most of your teams are already on holidays. Should be good fun.
I’ll be on whoever wins today’s encounter

It’d be great to see The Lions win another premiership against Collingwood
I can pop out my door and celebrate on Brunswick St, and wonder over to a pub in Smith st and enjoy the commiserations
