Putting that aside we are talking about coaches ethics because apparently Scott and the club has been lying about him forgoing his salary for the year to enable the club to keep on staff

You know instead of running around and rooting staff memebers for their own pleasure while abusing the power dynamics between the coach and staff

The point is that if someone gets a bit slagged off for ‘allegedly’ doing something dodgy with no proof and it gets refuted with some decent evidence such as the Covid season and then the retort is: ‘well that’s just a claim so I don’t have to believe it’ then people will say ‘well in that case why would anyone believe anything about a claim regarding a player or coach’s salary. Maybe it’s all just made up.’

I’m certain Martin was paid exactly what is claimed im merely stating that once you get into the territory of ‘well I just refuse to believe that because I refuse to believe it’ then it becomes open slather: who’s to say Brisbane weren’t $10 million over the cap in paper bag payments this year and Sydney aren’t the rightful premiers just because that’s what ‘I believe.’

And why was the discussion about Chris Scott in the first place?

BTW, it wasn’t a Cats supporter who first revealed Scott had given up his salary. It was all over the media. And did you hear Scott make a fuss about it or seek the limelight? No, because he remains a private person.

For some reason posters like you just cannot accept the possibility and move on.
