Why are teams banned from using it as a home ground? First I’ve heard of it. Fremantle trained there this year. If you can hire it to train what’s stopping clubs from playing games there

Nobody said Collingwood don't play other MCG tenants at the MCG.
It's just a fact that they play at the MCG 14 times this year, not including finals.

Its dimensions are far better for football then the mcg. If one of those two grounds needs to change dimensions then its the mcg that should change (needs to be much thinner and a bit longer).

If we have a home final played against the pies at your home city and ground then any success the pies have will be tainted and unjust. The umpire advantage you get is ridiculous not to mention the crowd momentum and travel factor.

The lexus comparison is stupid as it doesnt go to the heart of what home advantage is about. Crowd, umpires and travel. Training access is a complete non issue.

You like afl grounds that are easy to flood cos they are too short and the best option to oppose such flooding is to chip kick around defence or bomb to the boundary on the wing because the wings are so effing wide.

The mcg is the worst ground for modern football. It needs to change.
