The audit was a routine one? They happen every single year. They pick out two clubs per year to be the more thoroughly investigated ones then the other group they do follow ups on. This year was Port and Geelong.

So if Geelong was openly flaunting these dodgy land deals or whatever, why do you hand-waive the results of the audit coming back with no case to answer? I thought Geelong was openly flaunting it?

the only outstanding issue was a VFWL player got given a rental car for a day that didn't get accounted for, so pretty terrible outcome
The AFL has apparently switched the focus of the audit to try to locate the elusive adversity referred to in Chris Scott's post Grand Final press conference. So far they have uncovered one 50-50 free kick paid against the Cats in round 6 and a local Police crackdown on ecstasy and cocaine supply that badly impacted some Geelong players. So they are finding some real adversity there, Scott wasn't making it up.

AFL still hasnt announced the penalty Caro said was coming back in July.

An VFLW player car not being lodged is not the smoking gun you guys think it is.
Brisbane for example got done for actually breaching TPP (you know the actual salary cap in 2017) and all they got was a 10k fine, Saints, Dogs, Crows are other recent examples and that was actual salary cap breaches for their Senior AFL teams not unrelated stuff.
If stuff like a VFLW player’s car lease is a MAJOR fine brought up by Caro trying to pump up as the worst of it then boy you guys are gonna be realllly disappointed

They had no match-up that could go with him. too strong too powerful the way he pushed Kolodjashnij around and was kicking 60 meters skidders, was absolutely insane.

2021 Prelim? Lost by 80 points.
Went on to win Premiership the next year.
We don’t dwell on doom and gloom because we know it could be much worse and we’ve won 4 AFL Premiership.
Only behind Brisbane and Hawks in AFL era (only era that matters in professional context, athletes of yesteryear playing VFL would get dominated by modern day athletes)
Look at how Port, Sydney and GWS performed in Grand Finals…
